Marv's Bakery — Restaurant in Brighton Charter Township

This was the very first time ever visiting Marv's Meats, and I went there to get some of their Burger, which I had heard really good reviews on. They offer 2 grades/types, either Ground Sirloin, or Ground Round. I bought some of both, but I was much more interested in the Round, as it's more versatile for different meals, etc. Well, the ground Sirloin was EXCELLENT, but unfortunately, the ground Round was a big disappointment! I'm a huge Burger Lover (I will take a good quality burger over a Steak), but my biggest disappointment with any burger is when it's laced with those tiny pieces of gristle and every other bite has some. It takes the best of the best to find burger that doesn't have any gristle in it, so it's very hard to come by. In this case, the Sirloin was great, and none of the 4 people testing it found a single piece of gristle, but sorry to say, we had a much different experience with the Round, as it had more than its share of gristle in it. I had such high hopes for this place, because it's located fairly close to me, but needless to say, my search goes on for the perfect ground...

The last time I reviewed Mark‘s bakery, I tore apart. I was disappointed, but for some reason today when I went in and sweet tooth was in full gear and I went crazy. I bought stuff that I shouldn’t have have gotten being Diabetic but what the heck you only live once and always my doctor gonna kill me after reading this review. But Sam, the assistant Baker, who helped me with my order was a wonderful young man did a great job and without twisting my arm allowed me to buy a lot more stuff than I wanted and when he told me what the bill was my jaw drop because I couldn’t believe that it was that cost-effective wow so pastries and bread and lions and tigers and bears oh my this place has redeemed itself and I’m so glad I went there today. I will take pictures when I get home of some of the stuff that I haven’t eaten...

First time and last time in this bakery. The donuts are a step up from Duncan donuts the pastries we ordered were doughy. The lady behind the counter was not friendly. Nothing is labeled so I needed to ask her what some of the flavors of the donuts were and she was annoyed that I asked and she kept saying I can’t see where you’re at pointing to. Well if there was some indication of what kind of donut it is I wouldn’t need to ask. The is also not a price list, so I asked for the prices on things too. It wasn’t busy in the store at 1pm, there was person behind us that she helped who was ready to order which is fine. I entered this place excited to try their donuts and...
