Placed a scheduled online order a day before a big party. Called 2 hours before my scheduled time to alter my order and change the pickup time. Went in at the new time and said they never changed my time which wasn’t that big of a deal but they were prioritizing call/walk ins ahead of online orders. Pickup time was 7:30, didn’t get my order till 8:20. I ordered 100 wings but only gave me 2 normal size boxes and I asked before I left to verify that it was the correct amount and they said it was right and there was 50 wings per container. Still skeptical but trusting in their confidence I left brought them back to the house and the hungry people blew through those wings and we ran out almost immediately with 8 people only grabbing 5-6 for themselves. Everyone who was eating was questioning whether or not that was truly 100 wings or not, we went back and they still stuck to their claim that 50 could fit in each one of their normal size takeout boxes, still giving them the benefit of the doubt we ordered another 50 because we needed more food and it was the exact same boxes and the exact same amount of wings!
So the takeaways are don’t use their online ahead ordering if for a busy day and don’t let them fool you on your...
Read moreSorry... I didn't think they were great. Although initially I thought they had a cool look. Appears to be a homemade lemon pepper rub...it wasn't bad but consistency wasn't there in every bite. The bigger issue i had was the chicken itself had no real wow...it was almost bland. The other issue was that I had one that was really nasty inside....nearly black with so much vein or whatever....but I get that may happen here or there... but almost all of my wings had large dark black veins...my assumption is that the wings are definitely frozen. Last complaint about the wings was that i got 1 drum and 9 flats...Some of the wings were not much bigger than a large McDonald's chicken nugget...
Overall I think they're way over priced for the quality and atmosphere....it's a rough strip mall with some tables. In addition to that they automatically charge you 3% for an Employee Benefit Package and then prompt you for a tip at the register.
The reason they add this on separately is to make there menu price look better and competitive. I think that's ridiculous and for that reason I wouldn't visit a restaurant again....but in this case the food wasn't worth going again.
Personally..if they up the quality of...
Read moreWas excited to see a Wingman got replaced since we don’t have many great options for wings here in Brighton.
We did a Grubhub order since their website was having error issues with DoorDash. Was disappointed with the wait time (ordered around 6:20pm, didn’t get order till 8:10pm) but not blaming Wing Shack as that was most likely a Grubhub issue.
Unfortunately though the wings were lack laster. The hot was a good amount of hot but nothing too exciting, the lemon pepper dry rub was good, but the hot BBQ and hot teriyaki just tasted like teriyaki mixed with their hot and BBQ mixed with their hot. We didn’t even finish those wings since they weren’t that good. I did like that you can request to have the crispy and also note if you’d prefer more flats or drumsticks, etc. Their waffle fry’s were delicious though!
We may have to try these guys out in person or maybe do a pick up order and try some different sauces, to hopefully have a better experience and feel like we get a better bang for our buck as the 40 count wings and small fries came out to almost $90 (note we did leave a $8 tip & use a delivery service) but we can usually get the same amount of wings with fries included, delivered,...
