This place is great WHENNNN they have the right staff. Ìm a very reasonable guy and not racist be can you please get English undemanding workers. Of The 8-10 times ive been there 5 if my visits were ruined and unfortunately they were all done by the SAME guy that works nights. I'm not sure if it's one guy who works every late night but everytime I've gone beyond 11 is someone who never speaks very good english.. 4 times now I've gone and gotten (which is all I order from this place) is Carne asada fries with mild Chilli. Out of the 4 times with this same guy I've gotten 2 Times with JUST dry fries, unmelted cheese and steak NOO CHILLI AT ALL. 1 of the last 2 visits was JUST fries and cheese. No chilli no steak. And the 4th time was him giving me HOT instead of mild and it wasn't bad of course but was soo spciey it wasn't really enjoyable. As good as this place is you need to fire or teach the night employees to speak English or at least tell us when there's no chilli. Tonight I ordered my food as normal, paid and got it but unsprisingly by this guy I got a bunch of very dry, very VERY unmelted cheese and very little steak. I luckily demanded my refund as they took the food back. Warning the food is VERY GOOD but beware of English speakers and getting your food correct. It could be a small case of people not caring about their job at night but overall be aware and ALWAYS...
Read moreI had the plate of 4 street tacos and was very pleased. I ordered two tacos of tripas and the tripa was nice and toasty and crispy. I asked the guy serving me what he would choose between the lengua, pastor, adobada, and the barbacoa and he said the barbacoa. I also asked about the menudo. There was a moment of hesitation and then he said it was good but if I'm going to spend a Sunday meal having menudo I know where to go that has pata which they don't. The tacos that came out were delicious and included a perfectly grilled baby onion, a huge grilled serrano pepper, three containers each of tomatillo salsa and red salsa, and a baggie with several lime wedges. I ate at the restaurant. I was the only customer there at 3 pm although the drive through was busy. The tacos were delicious and they played Mexican music. The jamaica was delicious and not overly sweetened. The barbacoa had a great taste, but my favorite was the tripitas. The tripas was crispy and cut to the perfect size. The tacos had diced onions and cilantro on top and the salsa, onion, and chili accompanied the tacos perfectly. Over all it was exactly what I wanted. I see there are a lot of negative reviews and I hesitated to come here but I didn't want to ride my bike an extra mile just to go to a taco place I've already been to. I would definitely come back for those tacos. I am...
Read moreUp until about five months ago, Taco Palace was consistently excellent and inexpensive, a truly great source of quick and tasty food. At first, it just seemed as if they stopped caring as much about their customers and the service declined. However, the food remained decent, though in smaller portions at higher prices. Once they reopened following the coronavirus closure, it became almost impossible to get them to answer their phone and even more difficult to actually order. As a result, tonight was the first time in months that we were able to order a meal from them. Upon entering the restaurant to pick up my order, I first noticed how odd the place smelled. When we opened our order at home, the quality had fallen nearly entirely to the floor: one of my tortillas was literally mush and rather than make the chile verde ordered, the cook very obviously took some shredded carnitas that he had at hand and poured whatever sauce he could find, mixed with some water, over the top. The "Palace" burritos that was ordered (which we've ordered many times before) did not have a chile relleno in it, it only contained beans, cheese, some steak chunks and a sauce. It was incredibly disappointing in comparison to the beautiful Palace Burritos we...
