My family has been to MANY HRC’s over the years. It’s both a tradition as well as a priority to view what makes the establishment unique and obtain collectibles. I’d have to agree with an earlier rating, theirs is unfortunately the worst of the Hard Rock’s that we have seen. For one thing, there is no outside signage that makes it clear where the store or cafe is located, for first time visitors, and the reason for that is that both are located in the casino, the smoking casino. Which of course, means that our son was not able to even go into the main store. On top of that by the time I was able to leave, my eyes were burning so much from the smoke that I would not ever be able to eat in the cafe to rate the food or experience.
There is a smaller store and a casino that is smoke free but the store is tiny and does not have any of the items that kids would be interested in purchasing, which makes zero sense since that is the ONLY store they can go into to shop. There is also a “food court” that is smoke free that kids can attend but the “fun” of the Hard Rock is seeing the collectibles and the music which kids really enjoy. Our children have been raised on eating in HRC’s which makes it a unique experience.
It is obvious this HRC is designed for hotel, concert, and casino, but I feel it is really missing the boat on having the ability to capture family entertainment in addition to the obvious, apparent target. Outside entrances to the main store and cafe would satisfy that and would have easily been accomplished.
Only reason this wasn’t a 1 star review was that the staff was VERY friendly, courteous, helpful, and professional. I did mention to several of them that this setup made no sense. They agreed, and several staff have come from other HRCs and were very perplexed as to why this one is setup as it is.
We’ve been to this HRC and even purchased @ $100 in souvenirs, but we have zero reason to ever go back which I think will be the experience for a lot of people.
Just very...
Read moreWe were in town for the David Lee Roth concert, and this was our first visit to the Hard Rock Cafe Bristol. We decided to use the Valet, thinking it would make parking easier....big mistake! The Valet instructed us to pay at the kiosk inside, and assured us the payment would show up on his computer. We followed his directions, paid, and headed into the casino.
Once inside, things improved immediately. The casino was spotless, and every staff member we encountered was friendly. Feeling hungry, we ordered chicken fingers and fries from the back kiosk. The wait was about 10 minutes, but wow! It was worth it! The food came out piping hot and absolutely delicious.
When it was time for the concert, security was fast and efficient, and the sound quality was fantastic. The seating was also surprisingly comfortable. We had a blast! My only small gripe...they wouldn’t let me bring in my unopened 8oz bottle of water. I assume they wanted us to buy drinks at the bar, which we didn’t.
After the concert, we played the slots for a bit, but our $40 disappeared in under five minutes, so we called it quits. Then came the second Valet headache—when we went to pick up our car, they couldn’t find it in their system. Thankfully, I had my receipt, and after about 10 minutes they finally located it. The whole thing left me feeling like I had done something wrong, even though I followed instructions exactly.
Overall, we had a great night. The concert was amazing, the food was excellent, and the staff inside were wonderful. But take my advice: skip the Valet. Park yourself and save the money, time, and...
Read moreIt’s a gamble! We have been 3 times with the first 2 times pretty good besides some missing grilled onions on our burger and a few scowls from the kitchen… the last visit was a special occasion and my husband decided in the 38 dollar strip cooked Pittsburgh style, so rare but charred. I had the duo fajitas cooked med. Mine was cooked as ordered but, his was cooked med to med well. We told our server and soon after Bruce came to the table and asked what the problem was. We told him and he said this is how the”chef” cook’s Pittsburgh and that if he had them redo it, it would come out the same… so what do you do? He didn’t offer to bring something else just basically said to bad so sad. lol so we now know to not get steak at the Hard Rock Cafe. We’ll probably be back but on a gamble knowing we could leave disappointed again. But, for those looking for a cooked to perfection steak make the short drive to Vivian’s Table. Those chefs know how to cook a perfect steak! We haven’t tried council oak yet at the casino but, it’s on our list. Hope they can cook a steak as ordered! See photos of said Pittsburgh rare steak. The fajita was ordered medium and...
