Stopped in here by chance and so glad I did. The waterfront views can’t be beat, the prices are good, and the staff made great recommendations about the menu. Lovely local vibe, very clean. Most importantly, the food was prepared using fresh local ingredients and the care in preparation came through in every bite. I look forward to being a customer again and might even drive out of my way just to return!

Great little spot I’ve never noticed & after an open house visit to Bristol we stopped for breakfast. Their omelets are good, the breakfast potatoes needed salt and after adding that I liked them much better. Their chourico hash was so good that we ordered a second side plate. Try it sometime.

Absolutely love the Hope Diner! We visit Bristol once in a while from Providence and this is our favorite spot hands down. Wonderful service, friendly atmosphere, and the food is great quality and cost. We recommend the chicken liver and eggs, the corned beef hash, and the grilled muffins.

With all the great reviews we figured give it a shot. What an absolute disappointment. Cash only which was fine they had an atm on site. Walked in to absolute craziness. Family wasn’t sure But we pushed on. Sat us quickly,it was tight but we were hopeful. Place wasn’t clean at all, the one waitress was yelling at everyone literally screaming at everyone workers or customers it was confusing. They had people that we thought were other customers randomly walking around serving food turns out they work there. Place was absolutely packed 20 minutes to get our order taken. Plates randomly came out 40 minutes for our last plate to come out. Watched these gigantic muffins come out but by the time one of the random people walking around actually responded to my request for one to go they were sold out. The food was absolutely horrible. No seasoning, eggs weren’t cooked to order the amount of weird tasting butter that was on everything was incredible. The kids working really were trying but some lunatic kept yelling at everyone. Such a disappointment. The ratings just didn’t match up 4.6 stars absolutely not. Solid 1 star only. You folks need to get out more if you think that disgusting place, with horrible atmosphere, horrible food and psychotic service is doing it. Unreal. Shut it down, clean it up, Fire and rehire, Train them to be courteous and professional and personal hygiene is an absolute must in food service. These old gals...

This is the first visit to Hope Diner since I was a child and my family and I were completed disgusted by the rude and ignorant staff of this place. I have never seen a place to highly staffed with no one that actually cared. Our waitress did apologize once we paid about the wait but every time we looked over there we’re three of the staff members standing by the end of the counter talking. We waited fifteen minutes to get a menu and never got enough utensils for the four of us sitting there. We finally put in our order and although that wasn’t much a wait, we had to continuously ask for it coffees to be filled. After three times we gave up. Now the food…that was impeccable! The manager was yelling back and forth to the kitchen making sure everything was coming out together in a timely manner. I only wished someone would have managed the waitresses that well. We waited about 20 minutes until we asked the girl who took our drink orders if we could order our food. She gave my husband a disgusted look and pointed over to another women and walked away. The place has so much potential if only the staff was more organized and cared about their jobs. So surprising because it’s such a nice spot in Bristol and the...

Great view, great food, and great people! 2 friends and I stopped by this morning after riding the East Bay Bike Path down from Providence. Breakfast was killer. I had the steak and eggs which was heaven on a plate. Nice fresh strip steak (cooked up too fast to have been frozen) smothered in onions with eggs over easy, hash browns and toasted Portuguese sweet bread. It was like 13 bucks including a bottomless cup of coffee! My friends had the Chouriço (Portuguese smoked sausage) and eggs; equally amazing. The waitress could have been my sweet old aunt; she made us feel like we had been coming there for years and didn't mind one bit that we lingered. We'll definitely be back. FYI - cash only, but they have an ATM at...
