Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Bristol

WORST experience I have ever had ordering a pizza. (The managers name that I spoke with is Nicole) I called and placed a delivery order last night 15 minutes before they closed. I asked the young man if it was too late to order and he assured me it was not... My husband and I waited an hour before trying to call them back and they were closed. THE PIZZA NEVER CAME! This afternoon we decided to try again, when I called to place my delivery order I explained what happened last night to the manager and she gave me a discount on our new order. She did not seem very apologetic she was very blunt and insincere. However she gave us a discount and I was pleased with that. She explained to me that the wait time would be a little longer than usual and I said that was fine.. 50 minutes went by and no sign of our pizza. I had my husband call back and check on our order. Nicole told him that his wife agreed to waiting over an hour and a half.... UNTRUE I called her back and told her that I knew nothing about waiting over and hour and a half. She was VERY RUDE she began to raise her voice higher than before and argue with me saying she told me it would be over and hour and a half. I told her I was unhappy with the situation and that I wanted to cancel my order. She said "ok bye" and hung up on me!!!!! I was FURIOUS I called her back and asked to speak with the manager . She told me that she was the manager !!!!! How??????? Boiling with anger I told her that she had terrible customer service skills. for one you do not hang up on a customer, you do not argue with a customer. Had our three year old grandson over. Decided to order a medium super Hawaiian and cinnamon pull apart for delivery. The lady who took the order could not speak English very clearly. I had to keep asking her to repeat what she was saying. Pizza was delivered by door dash. I didn't order door dash and never have. Don't even have the app on my phone. Door dash lady called said I am here with your order come to my car and get it. The pizza was like warm, doughy, too much sauce, hardly any toppings was not eatable. The cinnamon pull apart looked like a five pound bag of sugar poured on it and doughy not eatable. I have been ordering from Papa John's for over 10 years. This is unexceptable! I will be calling the manager in the morning getting my $31.60 returned. Papa John's you have lost a valued customer. Have called customer care 7/28/2025 with the actions of the GM of store 338. Was told give them 48 hours for upper management to call. No response so called customer care again was told going to escalate the complaint give 48 hours for resolution. We LOVE Papa Johns Pizza . In the past , we have had not issues. The last few times we have orders and ask for simply extra sauce on one of the 2 cheese pizzas . It hasn’t been done. And by the time we get home the pizza is so dry it is hard to eat! One order I called back to the restaurant after my husband pick up the order on his way home from work and ask to speak to the manager . I talked to a really nice female and she said they would replace it but we live 30 minutes away from the restaurant and told her we could not drive all the way back. She said she would write my name down and to come in later and get it. We never claimed that pizza bc I order on the app. Like a fool.. I again ordered from this location and chose extra sauce ....you couldn’t even see the sauce on the pizza. I called back and spoke with the manager and he said he’d remake the pizza . I explained we live 30 min away and couldn’t drive all the way back and he said their policy was to remake in the same day. He didn’t seem to care I was upset ! Very sad that we can’t order from this location anymore . It’s very convenient for our hour drive from work ! Too many mistakes...
