I have to be honest me and my wife left here thoroughly disappointed. I love Mexican food and have always been told that Casa was one of the best places to eat. it's sad to say that my first time eating here is definitely going to be my last. First off, we sat down and waited 15 minutes, just to get a server to get drinks. I'm usually not too picky because I've worked in many restaurants to include very busy ones so I understand when it gets busy but in my personal and professional experience, I didn't see why we waited 15 minutes, just to get someone to take our drink order. I also ordered a small margarita which by the way tasted very weird and the glass was very warm like it just came out of the sanitizer. correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure margaritas are supposed to be served chilled. especially if it's on the rocks. I also saw weird little specs floating in the margarita, which was definitely not supposed to be part of the drink, which was a big reason why Didn't even get through a quarter of it before I decided was not going to finish it. The menus were very sticky and had food residue all over them, The restaurant was decently clean, but definitely could use a pick me up. For my meal, I chose the Chori Pollo, which was one of the worst meals I had ever eaten in my entire life. The description said grilled chicken breast, Which ended up being a very large flat piece of chicken about the size of a big pancake, which tasted like rung a soapy dishrag over the chicken. I've never seen a restaurant make a piece of chicken so weird that I was almost turned off just by the way it Looked, I would've at least thought it would've been a smaller piece of chicken breast especially not one that was flattened out like a pancake. The beans tasted like coffee beans, if you can believe it, And the sausage that they put on top of the chicken Had way too much spice to it that I could barely even taste the meat. Funny enough the better part of the meal was just the rice and the chips and salsa. My wife got the chimichangas which were not to her liking at all. It was literally just chicken inside of a tortilla with no peppers no onions, Nothing at all, but chicken, which in her own words "Tasted like watered downed canned chicken." I was so incredibly shocked that we were that disappointed with Our meal that we voted not to even finish it and go to Burger King instead. Personally, my favorite Mexican restaurants in the Tri Cities are Los Jalapenos, California Grill, and Ole Guacamoles. This was definitely a bummer because everyone that I know talks about how good this restaurant is, I just can't bring...

We hadn't been back to Casa in a couple years. We stopped going because the quality of the food started to change. Decided to go back tonight...should've went somewhere else. Service was fine. This is about the food. Chips and salsa were mid. No more bowls they just give you those disposable portion cups. You can get a corner of a chip in there at a time. The red salsa was salty but I added the Valentina sauce to it and made it better. The white sauce seemed thicker? I know its been a few years but I thought it was thinner. The cheese sauce seemed off as well. Just seemed bland. There wasn't any zip to it. I ordered the carne asada steak, that was flavored with nothing. No marinade flavor whatsoever. No citrus, no garlic not even a hint of salt. Thin and dry. Am I supposed to say how I want the steak cooked so I dont get a dry steak? Because I wasnt asked. The best part of the plate was the refried beans. Once I mixed it in with the rice that part was actually flavorful. Carne asada is basic. Its basic comfort food. The comfort food dishes should be the ones that taste the best. Are you all afraid of using spices? I am not sure what the other reviews are talking about when they say their food tasted good. And I am totally ignoring the one and two star reviews because they are usually ridiculous. My husband left a $10 tip and I'm like why. He didn't really know because he didnt like his food either. He had a chicken enchilada platter. Pretty straight forward on that one. Chicken was d.r.y. We were discussing the experience in the car and how there were so many people coming in. He made a good point: the food is cheap-ish and its on the parkway. And I'm going to add that they probably do not care that it tastes bland. I am partial to Calaveras in Johnson City and so far nobody is on par with them. You know why? Because they have flavor...

Recently had the pleasure of dining at Casa Mexicana, and I must say it was an absolute delight! From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with warm smiles and a vibrant atmosphere that set the stage for a fantastic evening.

Casa Mexicana truly knows how to deliver exceptional flavors. Every dish I tasted was great. The chefs at Casa Mexicana certainly know how to capture the essence of Mexican cuisine and present it with flair.

To complement the delicious food, Casa Mexicana offers an impressive selection of drinks. The margaritas were simply fantastic! They were expertly crafted with high-quality tequila (on request), fresh lime juice, and just the right amount of sweetness. Each sip was a refreshing burst of flavor that perfectly complemented the vibrant and bold flavors of the food. Whether you prefer a classic margarita or want to explore their extensive drink menu, Casa Mexicana has something to satisfy everyone.

However, what truly made my experience outstanding was the exceptional customer service. The staff at Casa Mexicana was attentive, friendly, and incredibly accommodating. From the moment I arrived until the moment I left, I felt genuinely welcomed and well taken care of. The servers were knowledgeable about the menu and gladly answered all my questions, providing helpful recommendations along the way. The staff's genuine enthusiasm for ensuring a memorable dining experience was evident, and it made all the difference in creating a welcoming and...

First of all, I’m not one to leave a negative review but this is the second time my boyfriend and I had been to this restaurant and it was disappointing. Not only did it take forever to get seated, the waiter stuck us in a back corner of the restaurant and forgot about us. Our was cold by the time it got to us and my steak wasn’t even cooked the way I had asked. (It was also very unclean and unkept in the section we were in? It looked as if no one had been back that way in forever. The hot sauce bottles were disgusting and some had even been out of date.)

We really enjoyed our meal at Casa Mexicana yesterday. The restaurant was very clean and our waiter was super friendly and attentive. We shared the fajitas and they were excellent. All Mexican food restaurants give chips and Salsa, but we were surprised by the white sauce they brought with them. It was super smooth and creamy but with a spicy kick. The outdoor patio was open too but it was too hot to be eating outside. If this helped you please give me a reaction. Thanks!

You are probably asking why I posted this picture? This is what was left after I ate all I could from their carnitas plate. Not only was it amazing but the portions are seriously legit! Great salsa, could be a tad chunkier but great flavor and onion/tomato/cilantro balance, good queso, amazing steak (my wife's meal), amazing Guacamole. I would definitely recommend and if I am within an hour away will return! Great service too!
