Today was my husband and I's first time eating here. We ordered the pulled pork plate, loaded nachos, peach cobbler and slaw. My pulled pork was very good it came with choice if two sides; I got green beans and mac n cheese, it came with a roll too! The green beans had bits of meat in them, like home cooking, they were a little spicy, pepper seasoned without the pepper, but I liked it! The mac and cheese was on point, it was very creamy and very good consistency macaroni cooked good, not to soggy! The roll was just a store bought roll like sweet Hawaiian. I would say overall one of the best places I have eaten Bbq from. Great job Bristol Bbq! My husband said his nachos were very good as well, we had been looking for months for a place that served "Kansas city" style nachos, he said they compared very well to what he had in Pittsburg ( his favorite). Only complaint he had was that he needed to share them, he couldn't eat them all. We also got the peach cobbler, well I will have to wait a bit to try it, currently too full. Oh yeah , can't forget about the man at the window( owner maybe) he was very helpful, very nice and extremely knowledgeable. Thank you! Thumbs up! We will definitely be back for more! Definitely a spot to try if you like...
Read moreI feel like my 2 stars is generous considering what else we have locally to compare this place to. Those who rated 3+ stars have got me wondering... Have you never had good BBQ or do you just love Bush's baked beans with added pork served alongside unreasonably dry meat topped with an obnoxious vinegar-saturated sauce? The 2 stars exist due to fair pricing. I do think $2 for the small sides is a bit much but it's 2018 and par for the course so overall pricing was reasonable. I'll even mention the friendly staff and quick turn around. Probably less than 7 minutes from start to finish in the drive thru. The food was just less than desirable. Fries=good. Pork, slaw, sauce... Heck even the bun was just lacking in quality. I'll never go back for absolute certain. Pick ANYwhere else and the BBQ is better. Ridgewood, Firehouse, Phil's Dream Pit, Braedens, Pratts, Bonefire... Take your pick. Any are significantly better. Had I read these reviews, I'd be next in line at Bristol BBQ to try it and would be sorely disappointed. I came here to see if i was the only one and apparently I am one of the very few who don't absolutely love it. Just being real. If you're a fan of any of my aforementioned BBQ staples, don't waste your time here....
Read moreI’ve been here about 7 times and its a decent place to eat, but it’s definitely not the best Barbecue in Bristol.
It’s a drive through only restaurant which gives it a fast food impression, which is not horrible. It’s quick and convenient which is a nice change of pace for a bbq restaurant, and the staff mostly seems pretty nice.
Food wise it’s…….okay. It’s nothing horrible but not a top notch bbq dive. Brisket and Pork both have decent flavor but tend to be on the overdone side. Sauce is a over sweetened mess, with a excess of brown sugar and molasses. Side are pretty run of the mill, beans, Mac and cheese, green bean; nothing horrible, nothing great. They do have some interesting combinations such as the BBQ tots and loaded nachos that are a fun spin. Everything is priced reasonably as well.
They do have a tendency to be out of certain thing. Not a lot, but enough to notice.
Overall Bristol BBQ is the McDonalds of local barbecue. Not a top notch spot by any means, but not horrible. Quick,...
