I last dined at this TR in August. I couldn't say enough good things then. I looked forward to my visit tonight after a long drive & another to come tomorrow. I was very disappointed. At the beginning, our waitress seemed quite attentive. We were greeted promptly, our order was taken quickly, & drinks & salads arrived as ordered. And then things went down hill. I ordered a 6 oz filet medium well with sweet potato. My dining partner ordered a 8 oz NY Strip medium with steak fries. My steak came out well done, my partner's came out medium well & was extremely fatty, & the fries were cold & tough like shoe leather. Our waitress didn't deliver our meal, which I know happens at times, but she NEVER came back to check on us despite passing our table (we couldn't get her attention) & even picking up a dish (we still couldn't catch her attention). We gave up & ate what we could since we were tired & just wanted to get to our hotel. When our waitress was finally able to be flagged down (she didn't come to us without prompting) & we told her the issue, all she said was do you want to speak to a manager. The manager came to our table & we repeated everything. He asked if we wanted a recook & we explained that at this point it was too late. He asked what he could do then. (I never leave bad reviews unless warranted, & I always try to be understanding. But at this point, I was amazed that he couldn't come up with a solution on his own.) I wasn't looking for a free meal, but at the same time, I feel some kind of compensation was warranted. The only item the manager was willing to comp was the fries. I KNOW TR can do better. Maybe it was an off night?? But after a long day on the road, I...
Read moreHow did I just come away from here spending $100 on two people? I ordered some fried pickles for an appetizer and found them to be only semi-warm when they were brought out with our margaritas. The date got the hurricane which she seemed pleased with, I got the "legend"...and wasn't satisfied at all, especially when I got my check. Did you really just charge me $16 for a margarita with a splash of tequila as a "kicker"? This is more than other similar establishments in the area that serve LARGER margaritas for cheaper. Perhaps start putting the price on the menu as well. We could have went by an ABC store and gotten our alcohol far cheaper.
Now on to the main menu. My bone in ribeye was ordered medium rare and brought out rare. The date even commented that it was still jiggling. Personally I didn't mind though I admit it was a bit cool to the touch. Trying to eat in these tiny cubbys was ridiculous. I kept hitting my elbow on the divider while trying to cut the steak. The green beans were honestly nasty and my baked potatoe(which I only ordered with butter" was brought out to me with sour cream. The waitress never asked if we wanted more rolls either.
I expected to hear some good country music but noticed Florida Georgia Line and Luke Bryan were played twice. No big deal, music isn't a deal breaker. What was however was hearing them do the birthday thing THREE times in the 30 minutes we were there. Come on now, we're trying to eat, stop the yeehaws.
First time at this establishment, definitely my last. Logans has a better atmosphere as well as a less...
Read moreWell it started on a waiting list so not a problem the problem started when waited another 15 minutes to be seated after the waiting list texted our table was ready. We were politely sat at the table behind the check in desk. We were served hot delicious rolls. Sadly we watched our waitress come to the table beside us 5 times (15-20minutes) before we were even recognized. When the waitress came she explained to us she was helping out a coworker by picking up our table. So we ordered and it took 20 min to get a drink to go with by this time a cold roll. I thought the best part was when they did bring our food my wife's steak was very salty as which I thought was intentional as it appeared someone had put salt on the plate before plating the food and strange since we ordered the exact same thing with the exception of salad dressing and mine was fine. So little waitress girl with cat eyes attitudes go a long way. I usually tip 25% because we rarely go out buy I hope she enjoys the DOLLAR ! Cause it really should have been less! Thanks for making a rare occasion suck. If ever go back to this location an getseated in her section I'll be asking to be moved. And just a thought soft baked potatoes are preferred by most not the half cooked 1 I left on my plate! Again enjoy that dollar tip. NOTICE HOW THE MANAGER RESPONDED TO A REVIEW MADE 10MINTES AFTER MINE AND NO RESPONSE TO MINE Guess the management carries a bad attitude aswell 😒 Corporate is going to love this review when they read it .So kingsport Texas roadhouse...
