I have some amethyst crystals that I want to wire wrap as a gift for my daughter for Xmas. I'm in the sterling silver section and they got these plastic retainers in between every single item and people have already pulled the first item so I'm having to move all of these retainers to look at the products. I'm just letting them drop in the bottom of the display and I was going to pick them up and put them back on there and then while I was looking a couple of the hooks fell off which I was also going to fix. All of a sudden an associate just angrily reaches in front of me while I'm squatted down and just start snatching everything up. I said excuse me don't do that in front of me like that ever again. She said don't be throwing stuff on the ground I was like nobody's throwing anything on the ground the hooks fell off which is not my fault and the plastic retainers can be put back on the pegs. I stood up and looked at her name tag and said you're acting ridiculous Rita. She's like don't come anywhere near me I'm going to call the police I said nobody's going to come near you what's wrong with you. I said you shouldn't be treating customers like this especially someone with PTSD and autism. She's like I've got a heart condition and you're going to cause me to have a heart attack and she started feigning a heart attack. I told her to get away from me and she kept walking away holding her chest and then she went to the end of the aisle holding her chest looking for others around. So your associate, Rita, got very rude with a customer then threatened to call the police whenever the customer was not showing any signs of aggression, then fakes having a heart attack multiple times. All because she assumed I was being an inconsiderate customer making a mess. This is ridiculous. She needs MAJOR coaching on how to deal...
Read moreSprawling store that has a section for everyone and for every occasion. Isles are laid out logically and frontline staff is nice and courteous. Like their competitors, prices are what one would expect and the premium is obviously on immediate gratification vs. waiting on shipping carrier for 3-10 day. Parking is surprisingly congested considering the size of the store, but I'd expect once post-holiday season hits, it should become manageable.
One thing that surprises me is the accommodations for Disabled/Handicap for a store and franchise of this size which aside from WheelChairs is almost non-existent and some of the isles certainly do not consider, yet small regional stores like Price-less, Food City, as well as fellow national powers Lowes, Home Depot have fleets of Scooters. For disabled, they're visits will be regulated to premeditated quick gets to be retrieved quickly, not roaming and browsing freely on impulse.
Overall, Hobby Lobby provides that Shock&Awe for design enthusiast and is a wonderful place to explore, it's just feels like a missed opportunity on the older demographic or disabled who may not have the stability or ability to explore deeply without taxing their health or cutting their adventure short before it even really began just past the...
Read moreI phoned late afternoon inquiring as to the availability of a galvanized bar stool. I have been in a leg cast for 2 weeks and it is tiring for me to stand in the kitchen for meal prep and cooking. The person who took the SKU number informed me that they had one there at the store. I explained the situation to the person and asked if I could pay for the item and pick up in the morning. What they told me was that it was impossible to pay for it over the phone, and impossible to hold it for me until the next morning (I would have been there upon opening). The employee then stated that if I wanted it to just come pick it up that evening. Never mind I am a senior citizen who just wanted a little help. I honestly thought paying for the barstool and asking them to have it up front was not that big of an ask. Because frankly, physically that’s about all I could have handled. I honestly have my doubts that they would sold just one barstool in that short time period. I think what is most concerning is that this particular Hobby Lobby has an employee who uses the word “impossible “ not once, but twice in one sentence. I really...
