As Brockton natives, my family and I have been eating at Georgios for many years. Even as we have moved out of Brockton, we continue to make the 30 min drive to enjoy their food. Unfortunately, the 30 min drive was not worth it this past Saturday as I received terrible customer service from the Georgios staff.
I called to place an order. The staff member answered the phone but did not greet me. Instead the phone was flooded with non-work related conversations among what sounded to be like a few teenage girls. After repeatedly saying 'hello" someone finally answered and said "hello". I then had to confirm I dialed the right phone number by asking "is this Georgios?" to which she said "yeah". Very professional.
I asked if I could place an order and she said yes. As I am placing the order, I start to have difficulty understanding her with all the background conversation, she hangs up. I call again to place the order, probably should not have considering the initial encounter but family was set on eating Georgios for dinner. Another staff member answers the call, struggled to takes my order (background noise) and before I can confirm my order she says "ok order # and hangs up".
Tired and agitated, I picked up my order and made the 30 min drive home. By the time I get home to set up the food for my family and eat, its 9PM. I open my food and realize that I was given a turkey club instead of the cheeseburger club I ordered. I do not eat deli meat and would never have ordered this. The staff member taking my order was clearly having difficulty taking my order due to unprofessionalism of her fellow staff. Unacceptable.
I attempted to call Georgios even though it was 2-5 mins after closing, thinking someone might answer especially if they see the same number calling multiple times....wrong. Normally I would have left if for the next day despite my disappointment (and lack of alternative dinner options) but Georgios is now closed on both Sundays and Mondays and therefore I would not be able to speak to anyone until Tuesday.
I wait until Tuesday and ask to speak to a manager. The staff member on the phone says "well its lunch time so they can't talk to you right now". She takes my number and tells me someone will call me back. Two days later NO ONE has called me back.
I am very disappointed in Georgios and have never experienced anything like this in my family's many years of ordering from Georgios. I normally do not take the time to write reviews (especially negative ones) but with the inability to reach a manager, there were no...
Read moreThis is our "go-to" place because menu has an option for everyone. If you have kids/family (&/or group of friends) that all want different things for a reasonable price & tastes great then this place can satisfy even the pickiest of eaters. Plenty of room to eat-in however, the option to get delivery, or pick up, is available. Food is great; I'm a fan of spinach pie, calzones, salads, steak tips, wings (all types) & most of the hot subs but if u like roastbeef then the different size options for roastbeef sandwiches & ridiculously low cost are just bonuses, hands down best roastbeef sandwiches ever. Used to be a place on West side of Brockton across lot from old Paramount Cleaners & rugs(not there anymore😏) Think maybe was called Mario's Roastbeef (if anyone knows please lmk if name is right) this place was our favorite place for RBeef sndwch's. Georgio's has the exact same Rb even the names of the sizes (Jr, Reg, Super ect..) another top menu item that many people love is the chicken lemon soup! Not always available, probably bc it's so popular. I get junior Rbeef sand & Lemon Chkn Soup (even smallest Rb sand is huge!) If u pick up Whites bakery is next door in same mini plaza... best combo for a great lunch, dinner, party or function. I believe they have catering meal options available. Btw would be 4.5 stars if possible. Not a 5 because personally not a huge fan of pizza although one of my sons likes it & hours could be a little better especially on weekends for late night ordering but aside from that obviously it's a favorite on my list from this long favorable review... usually it's the places that mess up or are nasty that get long reviews from people lol. Hope this helps someone who's never been or has trouble...
Read moreI arrived there and the service seemed pretty good! I placed my ordered (lasagnas) but asked the cashier if the lasagnas were baked/gratined. She told me yes so I bought the lasagnas at this condition. Well, I checked my order before leaving and the lasagnas were not gratined at all with no cheese on top whatsoever. I then proceeded to ask to get some cheese on top and have the lasagnas gratined as the cashier said it was. The lead cook (maybe the owner) came and told me that it would be considered as an extra and I therefore had to pay for that... Well, the cashier didn’t tell me that at first but all right, I paid.
I finally got my lasagnas, I trusted them so I didn’t even check and just left. When I opened the box, it sounded like a big joke. Not only the lasagnas were unpleasant for the sight but they were completely disgusting (no offense). It wasn’t meat in it, I don’t know what it was and the lasagnas were frozen lasagnas quickly warmed by the restaurant so I had a bunch of water in my plate. The gratin? Didn’t see it, it was just two sandwich cheese slices that they put on for 1 or 2 minutes... make a gratin is one of the basic in gastronomy! Again, no offense, but it was sincerely the most awful lasagnas I ever tasted, I didn’t finish the plate. And the garlic bread was a regular and hard bread with butter and garlic spread inside...not tasty at all.
I wouldn’t have put 0 stars if it was possible because I didn’t taste their pizzas or other products of this restaurant, I don’t know if I ever will but I let them the benefit of the doubt, they might have some other good products. But as for the lasagnas, please stop selling them, that’s...
