Excited about having a corned beef sub, but when I got the sandwich, the meat was so fatty that I decided to go back to the counter and ask if I could buy just a side of meat of some other kind of meat because it was so bad and I was told that I would have to pay for the sandwich minus the bread they would still charge me for a full sandwich. They also told me more than once that that’s just how corn beef is, but I explained to them that I’m from the East Coast and so I am very familiar with corned beef.. After taking one bite of bread, cheese, lettuce, and tomato sandwich I decided that it wasn’t right so I brought the sandwich back up to the counter and I asked very politely for a refund and I showed her this meat and the sandwich and the manager came over and told me that was my fault for ordering a cold sandwich instead of a hot sandwich because corn beef is always like that and that’s why they serve it hot and not cold and I told her if I knew that or if someone told me that I would’ve ordered something different But she refused to give me a refund or a different sandwich and said the only time that they refund is if they make a mistake not if customers are unhappy. Well, in my opinion, she just made a really big mistake because I’ve never experienced such a complete lack of care or customer service in the restaurant industry and the other thing that they didn’t know is that I have worked in restaurants up to five star, dining and diamond restaurants and fast food and everything in between for almost 30 years so if they think they’re giving people good service, they’re sadly mistaken

I have been here a couple times, pretty consistent with their sandwiches. The staff is friendly and they have a lot of folks working the sandwich line, which is nice vs somewhere like Subway where it’s only one employee making all the sandwiches. Every sandwich I’ve gotten here has been piping hot so that’s nice. Depending on what kind of sandwich ya fancy, place like Firehouse is in my rotation for hot sandwiches.

Ordered a Ny Steamer. Bottom bun was over saturated in mayo, mustard and italian dressing, causing it to stick to the paper. Add ons made it onto the sandwich. No napkins and the pickle wasnt bagged. Other than that, praise the slicer for the thinly sliced meats and onions.

Every visit is different! It could be perfect everyway one time. From The greeting and friendly crew and table visits from managers! Or it could be half bad because of the wait time. But even then the crew is apologetic about it and tries. But then theres been a few times things were lacking. I've worked in food management and you just know when both managers aren't on the same page during a Saturday lunch rush like they should... I come in with the fam to enjoy subs often on saturdays when the weathers alright. And ill sit and watch one (seems the youngster, blonded furred fella) work both stations and somehow help the crew in the middle of the busiest moments move the end along. And I can't help but feel the other gent' (brown furred look of Asian descent) just does the minimum until asked instead of stepping up like managers should during lunch time to help the crew and his partner out. Weekend lunch busts are so stressful and I have observed this many saturdays now between these 2 fellas. I have nothing to complain about involving my visit, food, customer service or cleanliness from every visit. But when I come in on future Saturdays for lunch. I'd be great if this would change. It gets old watching one leader, be an actual leader to the crew and then see the other manager not really helping out... WOULD LIKE TO SEE CHANGES BETWEEN MANAGERS. You two fellas there with the blonde and brown hair are a team. Pick up the slack before ya gotta be asked and help the other. How's your crew going to follow the manager when his partner...

I've had the philly steak and the smoked turkey hot subs and they were very scrumptious! I was looking for a sandwich shop where you can partially (or fully) customize your sub (that's not Subway) and this was the only one I could find that also gives the option to toast your sub. I love getting to add fresh ingredients like veggies and dressings and even note how much of them I would like on the sandwich.. It was an easy experience ordering online. I love that they have a lot of dressing options like Italian, oil and vinegar, mustard, mayo, raspberry vinaigrette, etc. Those are what makes the sandwich so good! Also, the addition of salt, which I love. You can even note if you want the sub to be extra toasty, even though I don't think they toasted my sub extra! Oh well! It was so good anyways, especially with the cucumbers chopped in small cubes, which is a pleasant texture and crunch. I wish they offered potato salad! I'm not big on mac and cheese or chips. I do love the added pickle it comes with though. The staff was cheery and fast. I will definitely order again. Their meat is succulent and so tender. I highly recommend over any other sandwich shop. I'm just not impressed with cold subs and sandwich shops that don't let you customize your sub because it ruins the whole experience. And yes, scholotzskys and McAlister's Deli, may have a big menu but they don't have subs it's just big sandwiches and when you're in the mood for a nice big sub this is the place...
