Disappointment 🐟🐟🐠 We had waited forever to eat here. Each time my husband & I would go out for dinner we'd forget about this place, being we live quite a few miles from the area it's located @. We eventually did get there late in the summer & on a 🔥 hot Saturday evening , we ate fried catfish filet's & french fries. We BOTH were unhappy w/our meals. We had an approx 5-10 min in the line to order then we were seated next to the carry out market counter & from the moment we walked in the doors the smell of fish was overwhelming! We have ate seafood all over the U. S. & in some of the most well-known establishments & NEVER have we been so put out by the strong smell of seafood! The food was plenty & looked alright , BUT our fish- BOTH platters were very uncooked for crispy fried catfish filets. The color was light yellow, NOT golden brown , it was flimsy when you picked up a filet, NOT crispy, crunchy crust. The taste was sorta like mud cat if you've ever had it as a child when your family cooked the fresh catch. Memories sometimes tell your age! Lol! Back to the meal. I felt the price was too high for the quality & their menu offered nothing for someone that has a light appetite. I don't eat much & the amount I got that I DIDN'T eat was just a waste. The atmosphere was LOUD, no music in the background, just MANY LOUD CUSTOMERS laughing, hollering, goofing around which wasn't the issue it was just inappropriate when there are 10+ people in a group & EVERYONE has a loud voice & doesn't realize that others are not amused by their level of noise. Many older people kept staring & speaking about them & yet no one said anything to them. Wasn't how I wanted to spend my dinner time w/my husband on our date night! The help there was alright & we did notice a few of the waitresses were much more efficient & personable than others. Ours wasn't very quick w/refills , dinnerware or the condiments we were needing for our meal. The place was clean, the furnishings looked to be older styles possibly brought from another place. The setup from the entrance to our sitting was weird for me. It's sorta cafeteria style. We went in, stood in a line, had to order @ the counter & then be seated. You don't have any direct interaction w/help until you're seated & they ask what you want to drink. I just wasn't impressed with any of it. We both LOVE catfish & just really had high hopes waiting to eat there. We won't go back, will not suggest to our friends & really wish them the best in the future! As for us we will once again take the drive to Muskogee to have the best catfish filets...

I was really disappointed here. Saturday night 7 pmish No wait to take or receive our order. It was very loud in there. Many servers delivering food so someone constantly walking by the table. I was in a conversation with my boyfriend when two servers came to our table. I didn't realize that they were at our table, one on both sides. The lady must have said something and I didn't realize she was talking to us, as I said it was hard to hear with all the noise. She then literally screamed who has the trout?!!! I was flabbergasted! I don't think she was our server just delivering food. A young girl continued to serve our table after the initial delivery of our meals. We let the rudeness slide and hopefully our tip will go to the young girl. Later I asked if I could special order a fish to take home. The girltook my name and number and said the fish market would get back to me. Monday I get a call from the fish market they tell me they were able to get what I asked for and I could pick up the next day. I called Tuesday afternoon and spoke to the fish market telling them I couldn't get in today I would be in the following day Wednesday. Wednesday noon I arrived and went to the fish market counter to pick up my order, I told the man I'm name and I was there to pick up my order. He went and looked at a paper hanging on the wall and said he didn't have an order from me. I stayed calm even though I had just drove 40 minutes to get there. I said he must be mistaken because someone called me Monday and told me to pick it up. He then raised his voice at me and said you have to talk to the Fish Market! I said I did talk to the fish market 2 times. He repeated YOU HAVE TO TALK TO THE FISH MARKET! Now I became not so calm and raise my voice saying I DID! History's off goes into the freezer and returns with my order!!! OMG, he didn't even apologize. He said the price and that it didn't include taxes, I said I was tax exempt and he gave me a mad face but proceeded with my order. He told me my amount and I was surprised, it was much less than I had thought it would be. I questioned him if I had received 1 pound or the 5 I ordered. He was now irritated by me and said "5, were you expecting to pay more money?" I said yes. He said well this is how much it costs. I paid and left. I do not know how this market or restaurant will get returning customers if this is the normal. Food is good, I might do take...

Does NOT live up to the hype...after hearing of this spot for almost a year, we finally went in today. Our family of 4 ordered 3 different "platters" which included clam cakes, baked potatoes, scallops, shrimp, catfish, hush puppies, and cole slaw. The ONLY thing that was really good was the fried shrimp (helping account for the 2 stars instead of 1). The crab cakes looked good, but were not at all; the seasoning used was bland, and even the hush puppies were bland too. Whatever combination they used did not carry any flavor we could enjoy. The fried catfish was nothing special at all...the tartar sauce saved it though. The cole slaw was tainted with what tasted exactly like contaminated tap water from somewhere like McAlester (was evident in the water used in our drinks, too)...the baked potatoes required a heavy hand to break up (were both undercooked, but somehow burned on the outside despite the aluminum wrap)...the scallops were fine. So, with all that said, I have to say it was one of the worst late lunch/early dinner dining experiences we'd had in a while. And oh yeah, the fries were OK, but also nothing to make a fuss about. We spent $60 for all four of us to eat, but the fair price (and serving sizes) still didn't justify the poor quality. We've eaten at all types of seafood restaurants from here to Hawaii, and this was the worst. Even Long John Silvers might've been better on this particular day. Finally, the wait staff was friendly and attentive, but won't be enough for us to ever return. Disappointed today, and it's possible we just ordered the wrong things off the menu...but...if this is considered one of the best in Tulsa, we'd hate to...

Large servings of good tasting country style sides, accompanied disappointing fried fish, served at a price that really makes you disappointed that you ate there. Fried or broiled, nothing exciting. If you are a big eater, you will get full. If you are looking for good really good fish you will upset that you paid over $45 + tip, for two meals. This is our second and last try of the Broken Arrow White River Fish market. I have always been a fan of the Tulsa icon located on N. Sheridan. We had dined at the Broken Arrow restaurant shortly after they opened, about five years ago. The experience was average. Not worth the time to write a review. We had not returned until today. Today’s disappointment was in their signature menu item, the fish. My wife’s catfish was fair, three over cooked, filets with a thin cornmeal coating. My fried Orange Roughy was sad. No breading on the fish. Just deep fried, over cooked, which formed a leathery outer layer and allowed the fish to be dry inside. I had difficulty cutting it with a fork. I tore it apart with my hands and ate it that way. I’m done….

We came here by accident but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise and now I wish I lived in Tulsa! I would seriously make this a weekly event. Not knowing what to expect we walked in and I noticed you had to order at the counter. No worries because we came after the lunch rush. The menu board was up on the wall and was easy to read. Plenty of options to choose from but I quickly made my selection. I chose the Fried Perch with Cole Slaw & Fries. The service was very good and our meals were brought to our table fairly quickly. Overall it was a good selection, the perch was tasty and although I would get again there are several other options I would take before I take the perch again. The items I didn't particularly care for, the hush puppies! They were good just not hot enough. It seems as if they just sat under a heat lamp. I also chose the Cole Slaw which was fair, it just didn't have enough flavor for me. The fries I ordered crispy and they were perfect. My take, if you are a seafood person then this is a must try!

First off i love how when you walk in it feels like a real fish market, the food is pretty expensive so be ready to spend 30-40$ easily but its worth it, the menu is kinda of confusing for a basic seafood eater but women at the counter is very helpful i told her i jus want fish and shrimp and she did the rest, staff was pretty nice, i ordered green beans and they were amazingly good, i also got a baked potato which was ok it was jus a potato im foil with butter and sour cream on the side so u gotta dress it up to your liking, the fish was good and fresh but it could use some seasoning because it was a tad bit dry, the shrimp was great as well as the cocktail sauce! No complaints on shrimp as far as drinks they only have fountain drinks and the hostess brings you unlimited fountain drinks, but its kinda confusing because they have the machines where u can get your own drink, all in all its a great place to take the family or go on a date.
