I made the enormous mistake of ordering through the app.. and just as enormous of a mistake choosing this location... not that any location is good.. but. I ordered a double bacon cheeseburger meal with onion rings and a sprite. Onion rings were cold, not cool but cold when I got back to work at 71st and Elm, barely a 5 minute drive away... I special ordered my double bacon cheeseburger with light mustard add onion. So.. ketchup, light mustard, pickle and onion.... what I received was a small single patty cheeseburger with onion, lettuce, pickle, onion with only heavy mustard. Knowing most restaurants require you to bring back the incorrect food for a refund. I did just that. Used my last few bucks to go grab something different and went back with my food, and even the drink. Called probably 6 times, nobody answered any of the times. Went back, food in hand, and they refused to refund my money because I ordered on the app.. but I had already requested a refund through the app and only was offered a $3 coupon towards my next order.. the store offered to remake my meal, and fave me a refill on my drink since it was all melted.. but the young lady in the back made my remade sandwich wrong, and didn't put the bacon on it as well. Huge waste of time and money... and that's why they are all slowly closing. The lady manager was at least polite and explanatory on why she refused to refund my money.. the male manager or shift lead with long braids, not at all. The problem is the app was not working, it said that this location along with every location was unavailable for mobile orders. I decided to go inside to see if there was anything wrong or anything else we could do. The girl at the front counter was very nice and said the app has been on the Fritz today but offered to have a manager come help me out.
The manager was polite but said the app is from a 3rd party, so they could do nothing about it. I understood that but I asked if it would be possible to order the meal advertised on the app and to match the price? He declined to do so. I'm not sure why. I wasn't being rude, and I felt that since I didn't cause this problem, maybe they would be kind enough to work around the app problem.
I wouldn't normally have a problem with this sort of set back but it was late, I only had a bit of cash on me, and it was very inconvenient to take up my time, ask me to download an app that didn't work, and then have me come inside to discuss the problem only to turn me away. It was just a terrible experience all around especially with tired and cranky family to feed and a mission to find a whole new place to get a quick bite for the bit of cash I had on hand that night.
I plan to delete the app and not rely on this location going forward. Hopefully things improve and that they are kinder to...
