DO NOT EAT HERE!! Terrible service!! After we were finally seated and ordered our food, we had to ask if we could have silverware. Other tables also had to ask for silverware. A man at the table next to us ordered a beer and the waitress said it would take a long time because they didn't have clean glasses. My mother ordered a pizza and also had to ask for a plate. The food took a while, and when I got my chicken sandwich, it was missing the BBQ sauce. This was after the waitress, who had no personality, shouted across the dining room to ask if I wanted the French fries and coleslaw that comes with it. Yes, I would like what I ordered. We had to physically track down a waitress to ask if I could get my BBQ sauce. We waited on it for 15 minutes. When we asked another waitress, she said "I will get your barbecue sauce; what else do you want?" very rudely. She brought it after 5 minutes but the sandwich was cold by then and my family's food was already boxed. We asked to speak to a manager about having the sandwich removed and the waitress said she didn't "think" one was there. Another waitress came to the table to ask about the problem and when he told her, she just said "OK?" instead of apologizing. She then said "Fine, I'll go get Mark," proving there was a manager there after all. We waited 5 minutes for the manager to come out. He peeked his head out from the bar, looked at my dad and ran away without ever coming to the table. We left. When there is a problem, the manager should be at the table within seconds!! I have been to Donte’s plenty of times during the lunch and early afternoon hours and have always had a great experience, great service and great food. However, today was different. I went after 6:00 pm to meet my brother and I unfortunately got lost as I put in Dante’s instead of “Donte’s”... WELL I would have had better service at the Cleveland Dante’s on Memphis Avenue.

The waitress, Suzy, was rude, unpleasant, unattentive and completely dismissive of our requests. We were in the bar - it’s a BAR - and yes people are going to get loud when the home opener game of the Indian’s are on, but when you pick one person in the bar out of six yes (6) and they are Hispanic, it is down right racist!

I asked plenty of times for water, nothing! I asked to order food, and she wanted a cigarette break with 4 cigerattes in hand. Whether my brother or I were there to eat, drink, watch the game or just catch up, we are patrons, and should be treated like everyone else. That was not the case. And unfortunately, I will not nor would I recommend any one of color to go to this place as it was not a favorable experience. Maybe she was having a bad day — I even said “I understand this is not always an easy job, however, we are trying to get served”... nothing. So as of now, I have a “BAD taste” in my mouth and will not return and will spread the word.

Hate is a bit harsh, but as a first time customer I know I will not return nor recomend this restaurant. Arrived, waited to be seated as sign said, took a long time to get seated. While waiting for rest of party to arrive, overheard servers as to who was supposed to work on which table...clearly understaffed. Server took drink, then food orders relatively well. Side salad was insipid iceberg lettuce and a few other toppings. Salad dressing was a plastic pouch placed on the table, not even served in a small cup on the side. Tacky. Waited and waited for dinner, other customers who had come in after us received their food and were ready to go. Asked server twice about meals, gave excuse they (cooks) were waiting on lasagna, meals begin to appear, pizzas first, then lasagnas, but a simple meatball sandwich failed to appear. Server said they ran out of meatballs, really? Why didn't she come out and let us know, we would have selected something else. Finally sandwich arrived, where did they get more meatballs???? There was so little marinara sauce we had to request sauce to be brought out. Server did so, but it should not have happened. Just lots of little things that all added up to the poor rating.
