I was expecting more. Read below for the whole story.
Went to restaurant to have sit down meal and found out it was takeout only when I got there.
I asked to clarify that they had the deep dish pizza like I wanted showing them the picture from their Google maps listing and they pointed me to the Chicago deep dish. OK that sounds right. "Do you have premade pizzas with toppings?" "Yes but not for our deep dish." It was $2.50 a topping. "OK it is a large deep dish it is going to have a lot of everything" I thought to myself. $32.04 for a deep dish Chicago style pizza. I was told 30 minutes wait before I could pick up.
I went down the street and grabbed some drinks to enjoy with my pizza returning 5 minutes early incase it was ready.
When I made it back inside, I found a line of three people. It was finally my turn to ask about my pizza around 10 minutes later. Hearing that the lady in front of me was told a time 20 minutes earlier and still had to wait. The lady apologized and told me it would be about another 10 minutes for my pizza. I told her ok I will be waiting in my car because it is about 20 degrees too hot inside. She was nice enough to walk to pizza out to me.
I finally got back to my hotel room to eat my wonderful pizza. I opened the box and disappointment struck. It kind of looked like what I wanted but it almost looked thin crust. "OK that is fine let's eat I am starving." I grabbed a large slice and a coke. I first bite was ok, but the taste seemed off. After the next couple of bites, the taste became more pronounced. The crust was burned along a whole side of the pizza. I also noticed my hand starting to get wet. I think they just toss crushed canned tomatoes on the top instead of sauce. By the time I finished the first slice my hand and plate were covered in tomato juice. The main topping was tomatoes. I can only taste my other toppings, that I paid a premium for, slightly through the burned crust and tomatoes.
For the next slice I went to the other side of the pizza to avoid the burned crust. The tomatoes only became more pronounced.
I was sad. The end.
Edit: I just found a better place not far away. Mary's pizza. I decided not to eat in after reading their reviews so I can't comment on that. But 13.50 for a small 10x10 deluxe works pizza. 3x the toppings of this place 1/3 the price. Much more satisfied. Ask for plates to go under your pizza box as...
Read moreThe worst pizza experience we have ever had. Called in to order 2 pizzas and 2 orders of garlic bread, $67.00 and some change, was told 45 mins to an hour delivery. After waiting now 65 mins we called back and were told the order would be there in two minutes. delivery guy showed up 20 minutes later and had one pizza with him. We told him he needed to go back to the store to get the correct order. Called Rosatis to let them know that he came with the incorrect order and we were asked if we checked what pizza he had, first off, not our job to check what incorrect pizza the delivery guy brought, and we then strongly suggested, to whoever answered the phone, that they need to call the delivery guy to get us our order. We did say screw it and then called Domino's, placed the same order, 2 pizzas and 2 orders of garlic bread and we had our order in 25 mins. Still no Rosati delivery or a call from them. We were trying to call them from 8pm till they closed at 9am and, funny, no one answered the phone. We will never be ordering from there again, there are way more pizza places out there that want our business and would not treat us how we were treated-Customer Service is where it is at folks and I don't need you if you can't even get my order straight in the business that you are in. I will also be contact the Rosati corporation to let them know how their franchises are treating...
Read moreI originally left this location a 5 star review. The food quality is still great, but I don't feel welcome to come again. To be transparent I used to work here, and left without notice for a better opportunity. A year later I thought I could stop by to purchase a pizza and see everyone. Did not expect animosity. I had people who know me ignore me, and others avoid me. I spoke directly to Collin and was ignored. Would he ignore any other paying customer who said hello? I expected the owner at least to fake a smile and say Hi how are you? Because I did visit this Rosati's Pizza location specifically to bring him business. I didn't see him though. Doesn't really matter because I went for the pizza and was presented with exactly what I paid for. I guess I'm taking away a star because I expected to be treated just like a customer, and felt like less than. I wish the best of luck to this location, but looks like I'm one person who will miss out on the delicious pizza because of grudges.
Shoutout to Jennifer, Christian, and Alex who went beyond managements actions to treat me the same as they always did. It was great catching...
