I mean, Waffle House is Waffle House - right? Who needs to review Waffle House. But after my experience? I do. At least, this particular Waffle House. First, when I walked in Sheila was standing at the "register" (there's really no register) eating two strips of bacon that she was holding in her hand. She looked at me and after a few seconds, decided to put the bacon away and then barked, "Did you place a phone order?" I told her I didn't and she said, "Do you want to place an order?" I said yes. No hello, no good morning - nothing. Just abrupt and RUDE. I placed my order and when she gave me the total, I told her, "I just ordered this yesterday at a different Waffle House - why is it $2,50 more expensive?" She never addresses me, she then asks someone, "How much is it for a side of eggs?" She was told $2.30 - she had charged me $3.70. No apology, nothing - she refused to even speak to me. She changed the amount on the bill and handed me the check. I handed her my card, she swiped it, handed me my card and the slip to sign and walked away. When I signed it, I held it up like, "Okay, what do I do with this" and she yelled over to me, "Just put it down." I did and she stood by the short order cook talking until my food was done. When it was done, someone said, "Sheila, pick up" and she said, "Oh, I'mma pick up - BELIEVE THAT!" and got my food. She handed me the bag and as I walked away she said, "Have a nice day.," which, if you were there and saw how rude and unprofessional she was - could have made you laugh. The experience might not translate well in writing, but Sheila should never be greeting people. She's horrible at it. I will never go back to...
Read moreI've been to this waffle house at least 7 times (its down the street from my apartment) and almost every time the service has been terrible. I try to be understanding of waiters and waitresses, but it's literally the same issues everytime we go. First, they forget half the food we ordered everytime. That's not even the issue I have....the issue is that when I tell the waitress she forgot an extra coffee or half of an order is missing, they're NEVER apologetic about it. Actually one time they made us feel like we were at fault for it. Several times they just stare at you and then run off to get whatever is missing. They're always rude about it....but if they had just said, "I'm sorry about that, let me fix it for you!" That would change everything. You know, CUSTOMER SERVICE. But instead they make rude comments like, "are you SURE you even ordered coffee??!" Or "you ordered too much food so its confusing" (that was in response to them forgetting to make half of an all star meal, WHICH IS ON THE MENU). I try to avoid this waffle house whenever I can because too many times I leave dissapointed. I work in a customer service job myself and its not that hard to be nice........especially when we are not being difficult. Read moreI stop by here for the first time ever to get Breakfast head to work. One of the employees was outside and informed me I had to order from the window. The inside was closed untill 7am so I went to the window to order Mrs.Yolanda was whom I encountered. No greeting she ask me what You wanted and I said chicken patty melt plate and she was like do you want a bowl , what a I wanted in and very rude impatient way but proceed to order figure she must have had a bad morning. My food was done went to retrieve my food she handed to me out the window and was trying to give her a tip hopefully that wouldn't help lighten up and she was in such a hurry to close window on me like I had done something wrong. I want to check my order to make sure it was right . I was like hold up can at least give you a tip she yelled it cold and I'm like I know I'm standing outside and I'm cold too. Her customer service is real bad not a good look at all she rolling her eyes looking back at the other employees like I did something to her. Definitely not except able behavior. I will never come here again first and last time she gives this location bad impression. Always know Mrs.Yolanda your attitude can make or break a business....
