Ernesto took me back to México! With their kind and hospitable charm, they introduced me to a deep tasty hibiscus 🌺 tea that was better than the tea 🫖 I had in Caro!
We initially stopped at the rodent store down the block. It was a mad house, as our gas stall was 213. And no others open. We needed a restaurant to rescue us from the sh!t sh0w.
That's when we jaunted to Ernesto who rescued us from the mayhem of I10, what a find. They had encouraging word posters everywhere and food that was of amazing quality, portion size and texture. I think texture is an often omitted characteristic of food. My Huevos Rancheros was better than the salsa. And the brown salsa was so good, I almost bypassed the menu and requested another helping. I think my wife's Ernesto's Plate was good. She had a larger quantity than I but, when I looked up she was sopping up the last of the sauce with the home made appetizer tortillas.
I pity the hundreds of families that opted for jerky and caramel 🌽 down the way.
What an amazing diamond 💎 in the rough. Sorry no pics, the food didn't stay on the plate 🍽️ long enough to show you.
To my server, "never disqualify yourself from life's accomplishments!" The powers that be may deem you insufficient. That would be a huge error. But if the military does, assess your deficiencies, correct them, then prove to them they are wrong. Dream bigger than big. But dreams alone will not satisfy that yearning I detected deep within.
A goal is not a dream, it has specific components: 1 year/3 year/5 year
Exact time frames for each Realistic and achievable Plot out the steps needed to achieve the goal ON PAPER, hang it on your mirror. Read it every day! Once the goal is achieved, immediately make another one.
I didn't plan to put 31 years in, I set a goal to provide enough money for my little family. It just happened to be under President Reagan on a Fast Attack Submarine. Over 35 countries, living overseas for 10 years, my next goal is to return to Harley Davidson HQ in Milwaukee, but this year I'm pushing on to Sturgis. Next year...Cali.

Read moreOrdered food from this place, and they over charged me. I ordered chuy's fajitas for $20.99, and the lady on the phone asked if it's for 2. I told her yes and headed to pick up my order. When i got there, the guy came out the back. He looked at the menu and charged me 2x the price. I asked why $45.36 and he said it's for 2. I told him i didn't order 2, but he just kept saying you said for 2 so we charge you 2x the price. I just paid and didn't want to to have no issues. When i get home, the food only has one plate of rice and beans and sour cream and cheese for one order. The meat looked like a good amount for 2, so i called to see if we can pick up our missing plate. No answer and i called several time! Had my son in law call and they picked up, he told them what happened and the guy said it was a misunderstanding and asked to bring the food back after 30 min. Mind you the kids started eating already!...
Read moreUnfortunately I feel the ratings are misleadingly good for this restaurant. The green and red salsa were meh and we never got beans some of the Reviewers raves about. I ordered Caldo de Res which came out cold and the meat tasted old. My husband's beef fajitas were low quality, and my daughters tacos al carbon although meat laden tasted like beef jerky. The decor was very interesting, a throw back of the 2 color sponge texture painting popular in the 90s. We were also graced with a couple who didn't understand that they were in a public place. Sorry guys, this one was a disappointment. I do...
