I wanted to give a shout out to the most professional, courteous, honest staff members of this rest area. Ms. Michele Grier, Ms. Debra Johnson and Ms. Ereny Gaderllah. On Sunday evening 13 May 2018 - Mother's Day, my wife forgot her phone in the restroom at this rest area and did not even realize that she has forgotten her phone. These three ladies ran around the whole rest area looking for us, trying to match us through the wallpaper photo on my wife's iPhone, and found us and handed her the iPhone. I can not thank these ladies enough for their honesty, their service beyond their job duties and their professionalism and courtesy. When we offered to give them cash for their such noble act, they refused to accept the gift. We had to then buy gift cards to hand them as my sincere appreciation and gave to them as mother's day gift.. These people are rare commodities and ONLY BECAUSE OF SUCH PEOPLE, rest of us can continue to have faith in humanity and honesty..
THANK YOU Ms. Michele Grier, Ms. Debra Johnson and Ms....
Read moreStarbucks at Biden Welcome Center Newark, Delaware. I had the worst experience trying to get two cups of coffee!!! There were 5 employees there. I can’t say working, because they weren’t!!! I asked which line I should stand in to order. The young man pointed to a register. I was first in line. No one else around. All 5 employees looked at me as they talked to each other and did their own thing. I waited around 15 minutes. A la came up to the counter next to me and they waited on her because her order was wrong. I was still waiting and a lady came to my left for a refund for a wrong order. They still didn’t wait on me!!! My husband came to see why I was taking so long with no line. After he said something to the employee, she finally took my order, with such a nasty attitude and mean looking face, it was horrible!!! The only employee that was nice, was the young lady who made the drinks. I think that she was trying to be extra nice to make up for how nasty her...
Read moreThis is a nice welcome center and rest stop in Delaware, just past the NJ border. Restrooms, gas, food, shops, and indoor seating for eating and relaxing (even during the crazy 2020 covid lockdown).
Currently 5 shops are closed permanently due to the crazy lockdowns, including starbucks, panda express, surf side gifts, pret a manger and the information center booth. No reason at all to close these shops since everything else inside here is wide open for business and no problems at all.
Plenty of parking Free parking Reasonable food prices Wifi is available Tmobile data speeds without wifi are around 20mb down and 8mb up with 28ms ping on a Galaxy S10+
Only negative is the restrooms are slightly dirty and only hand blow driers, no paper towels. Its kind of crazy to have hand blow driers since they are well known to blow bacteria and viruses all over enclosed spaces like mad. These hand blow driers render all the masks and social...
