Burger King — Restaurant in Delaware

Stopped by this rest stop for breakfast and a quick break from my road trip. BK was the only option this morning back in Nov 2021. I placed my order via the kiosk since there were no cashiers to place orders with. After placing and paying for my order, the machine alerted that it was out of paper so it did not provide a receipt. I went up to the lady at the counter that was distributing orders to let her know of the situation with the machined and my missing receipt. She said if there's an unclaimed order that it would be mine. I agreed with the logic but when she gave said order the items in that bag were not what I ordered. She insisted that it was mine because no one else claimed it and I was missing mine. I tried to explain that I knew what items I selected and those were not it. I asked for a refund if I wasn't going to get my correct order but she kept insisting I didn't know what I ordered. Finally after about 20 minutes of asking for the refund or my order another employee came and offered help. I believe he had just clocked in for the shift. He asked what the issue was, I explained and got the items I ordered. First time and first stop in Delaware and worst...

I settled into my seat for a grueling four-plus-hour bus ride, and within the first hour, a fierce thirst hit me hard. It’s wild how intense it gets when you’re stuck on a bus with no stops until near the end. Finally, we pulled over for a quick 10-minute break, and I spotted a Burger King nearby. Inside, a lone employee was hustling behind the counter, powering through his shift without a hint of complaint.

Desperate to quench my thirst, I approached him to buy a small drink. My jaw dropped when he said a small cup was nearly five bucks. Stunned, I asked about water instead—turns out, even that had a price tag. Sensing my reluctance, the cashier paused, then kindly offered me a courtesy cup. That small gesture hit me right in the chest.

I darted to the fountain, filled the cup with ice-cold water, and chugged it down—pure relief washing over me. Grateful, I returned to the counter, asked for his name, and promised him a glowing review. It felt like the least I could do for his generosity.

So, thank you, Joe, for being a bright spot in the middle of my long night. I hope someday you get the same kind of help when you need it. Looking forward to crossing paths...

Terrible service. Ordered two things of 8 piece chicken nuggets which is supposed to come with 4 sauces (2 per order). There were 0 in the bag. When I went to the counter to get the sauces, the lady working was incredibly rude. She refused to give me the 4 sauces included in my order and the sauces she gave me weren’t even the right ones. When I pointed this out she rolled her eyes and handed me two more incorrect sauces (taking away the first wrong ones cuz for some reason she wouldn’t give me 4) Eventually I just relented and took what she gave me cause it wasn’t worth the fight.
