We visited Roosters for the first time on a Sunday morning based on positive reviews from some neighbors. The restaurant is easy to find and has ample parking. At 8:15 a.m. on a Sunday, the place was already about 80% filled. We were greeted and sat right away. The decor reminds you of a country diner with Rooster decor everywhere. The server greeted us right away and provided some piping hot coffee. The coffee was ok, a tad weak, but good. The breakfast menu is fairly small, but there’s enough for everyone to find something good. I had the Barnyard Special which was hash browns covered in sausage gravy and topped with 2 eggs. I got a biscuit on the side. It was very good. My wife had the traditional breakfast and we got a strawberry waffle to split, since we heard good things. Everything was great, and the waffle was delicious. They also offer sugar free syrup, which I appreciated, as a lot of places don’t offer this. All of this cost $18.00, a great value. Overall, I’d certainly recommend Roosters if you want some good homestyle cooking. Service was attentive without being overbearing.

At 8 AM on Sunday morning, this place was crowded and I can see why. It's cute. It's clean. Staff is friendly. Food is good. Prices are reasonable. And there's coffee. Rooster's is now my breakfast spot! The cheese omelette was gooey with cheese and that's what I like. The home fries looked kinda black, but turned out to be yummy. I ate them all. And raisin toast with real butter. I took half my omelette home. It's the neighborhood feeling and decor that I like most here. Brooksville is my new home and these are my new neighbors. Btw, no-one in here was under 75 years old (except me). Maybe the younger crowd sleeps in until 10 AM?

A small place where locals and regulars go for wonderful food and service. Our 1st time there and will definitely go back. We had biscuits with sausage gravy along with hash browns. bacon and extra gravy. It was divine. We also had bacon cheese omelet with hash briwns and toast. The eggs were fluffy and cooked perfectly. For that matter, everything was fixed perfectly. The staff are so nice and smiles on each of their faces. Our waitress was Kristina and she took spectacular care of us. Thanks to all there for a great breakfast. We will be coming again. 🤗

Roosters Café — A True Brooksville Treasure

Roosters Café is one of those rare local gems that gets everything right. Family-owned, warm-hearted, and packed with regulars who know quality when they see it — this place serves up comfort food with a side of genuine care. The owners and staff treat everyone like family, and their hard work shows in every dish and every interaction.

The food? Phenomenal. From stacked breakfasts to Southern dinner plates, it’s hearty, homemade, and incredibly affordable. You’d be shocked what you can get here for under $10. The menu’s massive, and the place is always bustling — because it’s just that good.

Now, let’s address the elephant in the customer review room. I was there recently when a customer left a one-star review after flipping out over a $1 charge for a to-go cup. That person spit on the owner. It was disgusting, embarrassing, and totally uncalled for. The staff handled it with grace — far more than I would’ve. That review says a lot more about the reviewer than the restaurant.

Roosters continues to do everything right — good food, fair prices, and kind people. If you’re local, support them. If you’re passing through, make the stop. And if you’re mad about a dollar cup charge? Maybe bring your own — and...

After coming here for so long, this trip will be our last. I am extremely allergic to onions. Something I stated at the very beginning and while ordering. I wanted to make sure the potatoes didn't have any since many locations serve theirs with onions, which I understand. So the food comes out and I'm about 10 bites in and notice onion taste in the potatoes and instantly spit it out. When I look a closer at the potatoes I realize they are loaded with onions(didn't notice at first glance because I had cheese added). At this point I'm not even bothered because accidents happen. I point them out to the server she agrees that she sees them and asks if I would like something else which I didn't. All I ate was the bacon and a few bites of potatoes. When I get to the register I told the owner of my situation. He then went to our server and she lied and claimed she never saw onions on my plate, so I stated that's not what you said while at my table, so then she admitted that she did see them. As someone who is allergic to onions, I know what they taste like and look like. It was clearly there. So no sorry, or nothing but 1.99 off my meal. The way I was treated in this establishment was unacceptable. Well it won't...

We have been going there for about a year now (until today) No more. the owner lady has upset us on a few occasions now the first was we told her about a bad server that she has. the server wouldn't bring us our tea she just ignored us but expected her tip so I asked to not be seated in her area anytmore. I would want to no if my employee wasn't doing there job. So I guess since I spoke up about the neglect It gave the owner lady a reason to treat us differently for whatever reason. we were told we haven't been the only people to complain on this server. the second was we started going there because of a great Server that works there so we kept going back due to the good service we were receiving but after I said something about the bad server the owner lady refused to sit us in the good servers station. there's another girl that works there. That we like thank goodness we can still have her when we go there. Today we walked in and sat ourselves where we mostly always sit and the owner lady says you need to wait to be seated but there's no sign saying that and out of the year we have been going here we have never been told to wait so I Refuse to go back they lost there 30.00 a day...
