Iguana's Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Brownsburg

One of my favorite all time Mexican restaurants until tonight. Understand that I take family and friends there for the past couple of years and even have date night dinner there. Note that I never complained about their service but have only offered praise - usually I tip 25% because of how happy I have been with the service and the quality of the food. Tonight left me with the decision to never return again. Sat for over thirty-five (35) minutes prior to receiving water - not placing an order for drinks or food but only water. Shared concern with the cashier - she sent a waitress to our table ten (10) minutes later. Waitress came and apologized for the service - she took our drink order as well as our food order. Twenty(20) minutes passed before our drinks arrived. When our food arrived it was cold. We were there for our mother's birthday imagine our dismay. It is the first that I have ever eaten at a restaurant and not left a tip. Shared dismay with the waitress expressing my concern over the meal and the service. She told me that I was not the first to express dissatisfaction with the service or the food. I said well that evidences that fact of a problem. I said unfortunately I won't be back. She told me that I needed to understand that it is not normally like this. People didn't show and they were short handed. Why wouldn't I want to go back - well she wanted me to be understanding and sympathetic to their cause, while not listening to my concerns or offering any concession for the poor service that we received. Apparently the business is the only in the right while the customer pays...

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE - I believe it's my duty to warn other people about a place that has horrible customer service and horrible food. We had been going here for about a year and 3 months ago we noticed that there was a huge staff turnover and the food quality went way down. We ordered our food for pick up and was told 30 minutes. We showed up 30 minutes later and was surprised to see that it was not busy at all for a Saturday night. The girl at the register was too busy on a personal phone call to help us when we walked in. We stood there for 10 minutes before being acknowledged. We said we were there to pick up our order. She fumbled around for another 10 minutes before she found our order tag. We paid for our food and she said she would go get it from the kitchen. The phone rang and she decided to answer the phone instead of getting our order. She spent another 10 minutes on the phone. Meanwhile our food was now 30 minutes past the time it was suppose to be ready. She took her time and when I mentioned to her if we could get our food she just gave me a blank stare and decided to help another customer pay for our order. I asked another employee if they could get our order and that guy blew us off. We stood there for another 12 minutes waiting. I finally was so upset I said to another employee if they could please get our food. Finally some 44 minutes later our food was brought out. We took it home and it was cold and not even edible. I heard other customer complaining about the service while we were waiting for our food. I would recommend finding another place to eat this place has gone down...

Was a horrible experience! They close at 10:00 pm and we showed up at 9:00 pm and we had to seat ourselves and get our own menus and after moving to the area we wanted they just looked at us like omg really !! So we try to go into the bar to eat and it had all the tables up and was completely shut down! So we sat at the only other option and waited and waited then finally a server (?) came to our table and asked us if we were ready and we obviously weren’t then he took drink order and I asked if we got chips and salsa and he says another person was going to do that and this guy was either on something or just looks like it and finally after , no lie, about 20 minutes the very old man brought out our chips and salsa! I was just done with the place after that and my taco took forever to come out and the sour cream was runny, gross, and the meat or whatever it was was cold and I couldn’t even eat it! The cheese dip was tasteless and watered down! I think the place is a joke! Never should have tried it because el toro has the best Mexican food in town! If you want to go somewhere to actually enjoy and get good food don’t come to Iguanas!!...
