Yamato Sushi & Hibachi Express — Restaurant in Brownsburg

So we have mixed reviews on our lunch today. Dining room very basic and not special nor exciting, clean. Man behind the counter seemed nice but not overly friendly. Ok to the food. Crab Rangoon had zero crab, super crispy fried cream cheese. Skip it. Egg rolls were nicely crispy, insides were stale and flavorless. Skip it. Ginger salad dressing was super good but expensive $3.75 for a small lettuce mix from a bag. Shrimp tempura appetizer was super fresh and nicely done. Highly recommend General Tso’s chicken was soggy but super delicious. It should have been crispy. Vegetable fried rice had no flavor, no vegetables except cabbage and some broccoli pieces. Skip that! Dragon sushi roll was not fresh and grossed me out. SKIP! So for $60, we ate 15% of our lunch. Extremely disappointed based on the precious reviews.

Travelers beware…. Not a great overall fresh Japanese...

Wasn't sure where I was at. I just remember I was soaked, tired and cold. I stumbled in this place, and was immediately greeted by another man, who was soaked, tired and cold. Although this man was weathered and wrinkled, each line in his face told of an epic quest he endured in his younger years. His wife, served me soup that helped bring my body to warmth. I was pleased. The many begged me to gobble his dumplings but no matter, how much I pleaded no, he continually shoved his dumplings into my mouth. Idk much about the service or anything so I won’t speak on that, but I’m surprised so many people love this food. Maybe I was spoiled by living somewhere with fantastic Asian cuisine every other restaurant in my previous home state. I felt the food was just kind of okay, the rolls were rather bland and unexciting. The hibachi was okay too, but not really great or anything, shrimp tasted weird and like dirt, I don’t mind onions but I’m pretty sure they put half of one in my dish. Overall I’m a little disappointed in the food because I expected it to be really good based...
