Penn Station East Coast Subs — Restaurant in Brownsburg

At 8:16 PM on Friday 8/22/25 my wife and I dined in at Penn Station in Brownsburg. The manager on duty was Alisha. She didn't cook the food, but the other manager who did served us old food. You can tell the food was not freshly made. It was cooked in less than 5 minutes- 2 steak sandwiches and a large fry. They have found a way to make food that's supposed to be cooked to order into a fast food like experience. It's all because they want to leave soon after close which is 10:00pm. So at around 8:00pm they start to drastically cut corners as it relates to preparing customers food. One example is that they breakdown the French fry Station. Fries are being recooked and when ready to come out the frier are dumped onto a flat tray/pan rather than into the normal area under the heating lamp. The sandwiches seemed to have meat that was previously prepared and not freshly cooked to order. The cheese was not melted...The experience is often like described when Alisha is the manager on duty. Negative stars if I could. We placed our order at 7:04 and sadly by 7:45 we had received only my dad's sandwich out of 2 meals with fries. We were trying to be patient since they had a rush at the time we placed our order but after another 10 minutes of him waiting, I told him to stop and eat. At this point, the restaurant had died down and the employees were serving costumers that came in after me. It took multiple reminders & wasn't until after 8 that I got my sandwich & only 1 thing of fries. Eventually they brought 2 more fries that were cold & gross. I was nailed by the team members as I walked in with hello and waves as they were busy preparing other people's food. I didn't get the name of the shift manager but she has light brown hair and aviator glasses I've seen her and there many times before she runs a tight ship. The team what's working together like a finally oiled machine Megan and Meia put my order together for my family and got me out of there and a reasonable amount of time for his busy as they were.
