Short version: I'm hoping Chipotle recognizes their rocky start with this location and does the right thing, and shuts down to retrain their staff. For now, I recommend people just drive by and stop at the Kroger thirty seconds away, and just get the ingredients to make this yourselves. Yikes.
Long version: I worked at a Chipotle back in my college days, so I always make an effort to be empathetic to the situations of people working there. But when I was doing it, we had a throughput of around 110 customers per hour. When we went today, we waited in line for fifteen minutes, and there were only five people ahead of us. The shift lead spent the entire time silently hiding at the grill, never acknowledging the calls for food the kids up front were yelling out, and wasn't giving off any sense of urgency despite the line somehow running low on food, and being entirely out of some items despite the slow service. When he did bring up a fresh pan of white rice, he dumped it on top of the old pan and called it good. Who knows how long the rice at the bottom of that pan had been there...
When our food was finally made, my girlfriend and I had to prompt them to put full servings on. Mine received a literal handful of rice (the kid actually grabbed it out of the spoon with his hand) and about fifteen black beans (which I prompted him to add more to). I get that most Chipotles over-portion by a good amount (I know we did), but this was borderline theft for the price.
When we got home and sat down for our meal (a five minute drive), the tortillas had been cooked until they were tough to chew, and we grabbed forks and plates because they had holes poked in them from when they were wrapped. We also got chips and salsa, and the chips were so soaked in oil they could be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGreat location, I was really looking forward to having a Chipotle in Brownsburg. But ever since opening this location has been a total disaster. I have them the benefit of the doubt the first time I came in and they had no fajitas, chicken, guacamole, chips or queso. Then I went back and decided that I shouldnāt write a bad review because they may still just be getting it together. Third time was also bad, and now the fourth time is the last time. Went into the store and line was out the door. Several people whipping around the kitchen doing food prep and three employees on the order line, but two employees on the order line were always just standing still and watching as one guy was trying to fulfill all orders. The food line was a total mess and these do-nothings didnāt even have enough sense to be cleaning if they werenāt going to be prepping food.
Filthy, always poorly stocked on the toppings you want, and the staff is still somehow the worst part of the experience.
Ultimately management must be held to account for the farcical state of this Chipotle location.
Tl;dr Go to the Avon...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went in the store wanting to order a chicken quesadilla. The employees told me that I canāt order in store and had to order on their app. Annoying, but whatever. After downloading the app, it wouldnāt give me the option to dine in, and I had to schedule a time for pick up that was around 10 minutes later. After placing the order I let the employees know I was there to see if I could get my food earlier than the pick up time but of course I could not. Many other people were able to go up to the counter, order their food, and get it before me because for whatever reason the quesadilla can ONLY be purchased on the app for whatever reason. Not only did I have to wait for my food, but I didnāt get it until another 10 minutes after the scheduled pick up time because they just left my food sitting in the back and āforgotā to bring it to the pick up counter. I have already deleted the app and will not come back to this...
