Yall just opened up for the quality of service , atmosphere , and food to be this bad.
I have worked at a chipotle before, so I know when yall lie to me and I know what's acceptable and not acceptable.
You go in there and they have immediate bad attitudes and can't accommodate anything. I asked for fresh steak bc the one they had was stale and the short chubby girl looked me dead in the eye with an attitude and told me that it would be 15 minutes and essentially proceeded to serve me stale steak. As soon as I paid, the fresh steak magically appeared 2 ft away from me.
Yall this is a 15 dollar meal. Chipotles training system is thorough and makes it easy for you to be good at your job this is embarrassing for you. BTW it only takes 7 minutes. And I'm willing to wait.
Today the restaurant was grimey. And the fully formed adult you have for a manager was standing in the front and he was gossiping with the other girls and having a nasty attitude everytime he would speak. If everything makes you uncomfortable you're in the wrong industry. Especially for this type of position. You could see the kitchen was a mess. You could see the staff was uncomfortable with each other. No one is getting trained. Properly. Embarrassing. Last time I checked chipotle doesn't franchise? This is embarrassing for us as a community. Have some self respect.
There were 3 people at the register 2 on the line and 1 cook at the back. Get to work. Wipe tables. Check the times. Have self awareness and look at your customers to see if they're doing alright. I gave them 5 stars because I see they're trying, and this is very new. I've launched many stores and anything, and everything can go wrong in the first few months.
That being said, here's our honest review.
There are some employees who are on it and keeping everything moving. Don't loose them because they are keeping this whole thing afloat. The rest of the employees are working hard and just need time and good management to help them learn how to be quicker and more efficient.
Lots of the reviews said they didn't get enough food. This was not the case today. Every plate around us was filled to the brim.
Clearly, the manager Heidi is adjusting as needed, which makes for an amazing manager.
What we liked. Everything was fresh and hot, and our order was correct.
What we didn't like. The meat was too fatty, which is not consistent with chipotle meat. I loved the guacamole, but my husband said it was bland.
I would suggest they clean the tables more frequently, but I have a feeling they'll get into a good rhythm eventually.
As for the drive through. There's plenty of signs that say it's for pickup, so don't get upset with the staff if you missed all the signs.
Overall, we had a great time, and I look forward to seeing this team grow. Be patient....

To provide some context to this review I will mention the Harlingen Chipotle location.
In recent years that was the only way for many customers to purchase Chipotle and receive this fast food which was not common further down south.
Upon opening its doors to Brownsville residents a couple notes became apparent in our experience:
-portions, as seen in other reviews, portions are drastically reduced when compared to other locations. A simple YouTube search or visit to the Harlingen location will prove this. When a customer is paying 13-30$ for food alone a decent-good sized portion should be provided. My partner ordered a “wholesome bowl” and received a portion when compared to other locations is reduced.
-food quality; chipotle has a reputation of having a very clean, fresh, food quality in each restaurant. This can be found at this location as well as each ingredient that was added to my partner and I’s order was fresh.
Other then these two aspects, we ordered delivery so not much can be stated about in house service or hospitality.
