Perfect place for authentic Mexican-style breakfast or lunch at this unassuming "Ma & Pa" restaurant.
First, the food is incredible! I had a vegetarian omlette with a side of hash browns and beans - simply the best breakfast I can recall. Be sure to get the flour tortilla with it - perfect!
English is not the first language spoken, and the menu was in Spanish, but you can pretty much figure out what is what. Items are very inexpensive compared to the chain stores and the food is twice as good.
There are only about 20 tables, but traffic seems to move through pretty quickly.

Read moreMy husband and I traveled from San Antonio to Padre but due to the holiday, had to find a room in Brownsville TX. We are so happy that we did because we found an absolute gem and honestly the Mexican food was better than anything I’ve ever had in SATX.
Not only did we spend under $25, EVERYTHING was phenomenal. Even my coffee was brewed perfectly, we were given fresh creamer and the coffee was so smooth.
The salsa was so yummy that I wanted to take a bottle home but it wasn’t for sale 😅
