Perfect place for authentic Mexican-style breakfast or lunch at this unassuming "Ma & Pa" restaurant. First, the food is incredible! I had a vegetarian omlette with a side of hash browns and beans - simply the best breakfast I can recall. Be sure to get the flour tortilla with it - perfect! English is not the first language spoken, and the menu was in Spanish, but you can pretty much figure out what is what. Items are very inexpensive compared to the chain stores and the food is twice as good. There are only about 20 tables, but traffic seems to move through pretty quickly. The service is great - the waitresses make sure you always have a full cup of coffee. At check out, they'll even say "God bless you" if you leave a tip!

I've visited better Mexican restaurants Valley Wide in the RGV. This place I too expensive for a little tiny building, hostess not with a lively attitude to greet customers. Food was good but overall I feel prices could be better. We order the days breakfast special that was $3.99 what's on the plate is what I was charged for the price said above, that does not include Flour tortilla, no drink, so to me that really isn't much of a special. They charge drink and tortilla seperate, plates only come with Maíz tortilla which is sort of sad cause Mexican breakfast plates usually come with it's flower tortilla of course charging extra for more orders. Sweet tea isn't sweet, you'd have to sweeten it yourself.

My husband and I traveled from San Antonio to Padre but due to the holiday, had to find a room in Brownsville TX. We are so happy that we did because we found an absolute gem and honestly the Mexican food was better than anything I’ve ever had in SATX. Not only did we spend under $25, EVERYTHING was phenomenal. Even my coffee was brewed perfectly, we were given fresh creamer and the coffee was so smooth. The salsa was so yummy that I wanted to take a bottle home but it wasn’t for sale 😅 Finally, our server was so professional and attentive. There’s not a single thing I could complain about besides wondering why we haven’t tried it sooner and why aren’t they in San Antonio!
