I usually go to this restaurant to have lunch or dinner, my wife loves the beans n rice which are always good. Today we went n we both had a 2 piece meal n my wife had mashed potatoes n gravy for her side n her biscuit n I had a 2 piece n beans n rice n my biscuit. I asked for honey n butter but I was told there was only honey so I said ok. When we were eating our chicken there was a very nice young man who approached our table n asked me if I wanted butter? I guess he overheard in the back when I had requested n was told they didn't have any. Well he went out of his way n went to the back n brought us some melted delicious butter to put on our biscuits, his name was Oscar urquieta n works at the Popeyes in Boca chica Blvd, this is the perfect example of going above n beyond to serve others, he brought to us with a big smile n I was very grateful n thankful that he did so. Before we left I drove up to the drive thru window n he was there taking orders, I said hi Oscar thank you for what you did, I appreciate you n gave him a $5 dollar tip, may not be much but I wanted him to know I appreciated his kind act. Isair is also a good n respectful employee always pleasant n kind just like Oscar. God bless all of you guys at Popeyes for the great job you do!!! I notice so n alot of people do but some don't take the time to say "Thank You" Sincerely Joel Alonso Alanis...
Read moreOrder online for pick up ASAP, drove 5 min to the restaurant and then ask them for the order on the drive thru. They told me to wait 5 minutes parked outside the driveway thru, when no car was behind me, and several were also waiting parked outside the driveway thru. After 16 minutes I decided to go and told the girl there that I was waiting for my order, she went to the back and saw her preparing it (it was a Chicken sandwich). As she prepared it she was putting pickles and I told her that it's without pickles. A coworker of hers told her for me and she answer that that sandwich was not for me, but for someone else. I decided to continue waiting as she finish wrapping the sandwich. She finish by trying to hand it to me, but realized it was the one she just finish putting with pickles. I told her a second time that it was without pickles. She told me she could removed them if I wanted to. I decided to take it like that and ask her if i could get a drink, she allow me to get the drink. I appreciate the gesture of the drink, but the chicken was sitting there ready for a good while for it to be prepared and when I advice her about the pickles, she put them anyway. In the past I have had issues already in that place, I do love their food, but the costumer service isn't that great. Hope this helps for anyone looking to dine it there as well. Have...
Read moreIt is sad to say that the only Popeyes in Brownsville is lacking honesty and a real manager. Today my two older kids went to Popeyes via drive through and when given the order they did not check it, but when they got home they were lacking part of the order. I called the place and explained the issue then I was told " no sir your order was complete" I was very disappointed then I ask for the manager, a lady answered and asked what was the problem; I explained the issue once again unfortunately I was upset and told the lady that I wouldn't believe that someone will drive from one side of town to the other side and call and make up stories. The lady was evasive and ask me repeatedly for the items that I was missing and kept on telling them. I felt that she was toying me. Then I said in an angry way. " no lady I am not missing anything". The lady reply there you go. Have a good day and she hang up. I felt that she need it for me to say that on a recorder then I took it upon my self to called the district manager, but it was the same story I believe that they were the same person. My point is check your order before you leave we are humans and we all make mistakes. As for the food if we drive across town is because is good.my review is on service, IT IS...
