I've been wanting crab legs for a long time, sort of limited where to get them, or afford them. Had business in Brunswick today, knew there were good seafood restaurants in the area. The wife came up with this one after an online search. It was close to us, figured why not. Sort of nervous about location, but shame on me. We met a lot of good folks. Wife ordered grouper and shrimp. I got the crab legs and shrimp. Wow! Too much to eat! Tasted her grouper, which she declared best ever. She was right. It was the best I've ever had. But so was everything we ordered. My "sides" were typical LCB. Best-tasting is an understatement. I didn't need or have room for the shrimp, but so glad I got them. Fresh, wild-caught, and amazing. And the lemonade is the best restaurant lemonade we've ever had. The service is technically take-out, but there are picnic tables available under a shelter. I seriously look forward to my next trip to Brunswick! Sorry about no pictures. I was there to eat,...
Read moreFat & Fine was the highest rated seafood restaurant that was open on President's Day and now I know why. The food was scrumptious and tasted like it was fresh off the boat. We had the fried fish (grouper) and shrimp combo with 2 sides and a beverage (Coke products) for $19.98 each. We also had a separate order of fried oysters for $9.98. Their available sides include slaw, corn nuggets, french fries, baked beans, egg, and sausage. Their specialty seems to be low country boil and crab. There is no dining room, but a covered area with a few picnic tables is located in front of the ordering area. With 2 humongous fans, the eating area seemed Covid safe. The restaurant is off Highway 17 in a residential area (the hood). They accept cash (includes a discount), credit, and EBT (non- fried food only). This is one of those hidden gems frequented by locals and coveted...
Read moreGreat neighborhood find not far from the marina walk area. Definitely a business leader. Both the fried and boiled shrimp were fresh, plump, tasty. Enjoyed corn nuggets, new red potatoes pitch perfect. Corn on cob too! Sausages were good but they might venture a zestier variety, even an andouille. There are great Georgia farms like Savannah River Farms possibly an option to acquire from. Horseradish was tops, solid cocktail sauce! Big portions so made for great next day lunch! I wasn't entirely sold on the drawn butter as it may or may not have been a pre-packaged variety but wasn't my thing and stayed satisfied by everything else. Enjoyed the outdoor seating spot under the awning and made for solid people watching....
