Mary Ross Waterfront Park — Attraction in Brunswick

Ok, so we were just passing through. Thought this would be a great place to let the kids run around. It might have been, but wow! Mosquito heaven! I am from a place infested with mosquitoes, but I never saw them like this. They were out in full force even in the middle of the day. Blood dripping down my legs, children screaming as they were swarmed. Never saw anything like it. Tried to get the kids to play in the field, but it had a series of drainage areas which were easy for the kids to fall around. Would have looked at the sail boat that was docked there, but that whole mosquito thing again. There was a farmer's market going on, which in all fairness was maybe just getting started for the evening or something, but it was not very exciting. Two people with a couple meek tables. There wasn't much time to look, as the mosquitoes could find us even with a brisk 10 mph wind blowing against their tiny little wings. Why our govt wastes their time with conventional weapons when they could just drop these little suckers on our enemies I...

Had a blast! Enjoyed a gathering with a large group of friends and had a great time. Enjoyed goo food and drinks. Had an excellent DJ share his clean choice of music as well as allowed some to sing along with the music live. Some did karoke as well as many styles of clean dancing. We had kids and grown kids with water balloons and water guns having serious fun. Roller blades and running races while others just layed back and enjoyed the fun. We had boxes of surprise gifts for everyone to take home. A contribution of a friend who's morher had passed. (Our friend too) Had lots of food left over. We offered it to the many who were passing by and some were homeless and without food. Some just wanted to join...

We were here for Coastfest at a new venue. Fantastic! The nice seabreezes blowing across the park made for a very pleasant day. This park is located close to everything in the Brunswick area. There are usually two sailing vessels docked by the park, and I'm told you can take a ride on one of them. There are some historical markers here, but I didn't have time to visit them. One of them recounts the history of Brunswick stew. There is enough to do in this area that you need to alot at least a week, and that may not be enough time. Regardless, you must include a visit...
