Construction on Old City Hall began in 1886 from an architectural design by Alfred Eichberg and was completed in 1889, with the installation of the clock/bell tower in 1893. The architectural style is "Richardsonian Romanesque", with Queen Anne parallels. This was the style of choice for the majority of public buildings built in the United States during this period. Old City Hall was restored for use as city offices and as a place for receptions, reunions, and small meetings.
We love Old City Hall so much. So much in fact that we got married here! The staff was amazing to work with and were game for anything we needed to make our day perfect. Old City Hall is a great place to host any party or event where you want some extra flare and history.
