Even with reservations it took 20 minutes after arrival to be seated. The hostess ignored us and we were left outside having to keep coming back inside to ask if our table was ready. Once seated it took 10 minutes for a server to come to the table. We were seated 20 minutes before our order was taken, 30 minutes to get bread, and it took over an hour to be served our dinner. After being seated 1 hr 45 min we were desperate for the check, but the server was absent and no one else checked in on us. After being seated for 2 hrs we finally were given our bill so we could leave. We were sitting there with empty dishes and glasses and ignored even at the end of our time when only 2 other tables remained. It was impossible to get water at our table or any refills. As for the food, we were never told any specials or veg of the day, the bread rolls were good, pretzels seemed to be made from frozen. None of us enjoyed our side dishes - bread dumplings were dry and dense, hot potato, spatzle, weinkraut all left uneaten. Most of the food was out dated, overcooked, and heavily sauced. The only item at our table that got a good review was the burger. I wanted to love this place, but 1 hr to be served and over 2 hrs to complete service is just...
Read moreOMG! Or, I should say "Ach Du Lieber!" My wife and I sat down at evening opening time of 5pm and immediately knew we were in the midst of true, authentic German fare. My wife ordered the Jagerschnitzel and I ordered the Wiener Gulasch. We, my wife and like to slip little morsels of our meals to each other and in doing so, get to try what the other ordered. Let me tell you, both, were absolutely delish! Have you ever tasted a food that was so good you would try to keep rolling it around on the palette before swallowing? Oh, pure heaven! The wine was also flavorful; my wife had the Riesling Mosil, and I? Well, I WAS going to order one of the beers but opted out settling instead for a Coke. Kinda blasphemous on my part and will have to come back here to make things right. No, you won't go wrong coming on down here. Oh, we shared a Prinz Totengen torte. Very good as well. My full gratitude to Herr Wilhelm, son of Richard, who in the middle of a busy Saturday evening's start, came out to our table to introduce himself. That was beyond anything I usually experience. I'm coming back. In fact, I hope to plan a family reunion and have all my family fly in and meet...

The meal began with a savory strudel, accompanied by a selection of delectable appetizers that set a positive tone for the evening. The strudel was a delightful start, rich in flavor and perfectly baked. For the main course, I chose the German sample, a generously filled plate that provided a satisfying variety of dishes. The waitress was kind enough to introduce each component of the dish, adding a personalized touch to the service. While the plate was overall enjoyable, a few of the items were somewhat lacking in seasoning, resulting in a few underwhelming bites.
To conclude, the sweet strudel paired with coffee made for a delightful dessert, ending the meal on a high note with its well-balanced sweetness and comforting flavors.
