Usually Casa Ole is a good place to sit down and eat, but today it wasnt. Our waiter may have been new or very forgetful. He forgot to bring me my drink. Asked what kind of drink it was then left to get it and came back with the wrong type of drink. Then he went to go get the correct drink and it took him fifteen minutes to get it and get back to my table. The food was nicely done, hence the two stars instead of one, but my father didn't receive his tortillas. When this was brought to the waiters attention he said he'd be back with it promptly. My dad waited for twenty five minutes before he started eating. All of my food arrived on time so I was already eating, and mostly done with my plate.
The waiter passed our table multiply times didn't have any tortilla shells. At this point I was already finished eating. Our waiter came up to the table and instead of asking if I was finished. He just took my plate and was going to leave when I asked if we were going to get our tortillas. He apologized and said he would bring them as quickly as he could. This time he returned quickly and gave my dad his tortillas. After opening the tin foil it was wrapped in both my dad and I where starting to get upset. Inside the foil wrapping was two burnt, and I mean pitch black, tortillas. My dad sighed and ate them anyway.
My dad was on his last tortilla when the waiter brought our check, and told us he would cash us out. The check came out to be twenty six dollars and thirty cents ($26.30). My dad quickly pulled out fourty dollars to pay, and I found thirty cents in my purse we ended up giving him forty dollars and thirty cent ($40.30). Our waiter showed up and was grabbing the money and asked as an after thought. "You dont need change right?" I quickly told him yes we would like our fourteen dollars ($14) in change back. He nodded and left. My dad was still planning on tipping our waiter the recommended twenty percent (20%) with the change he brought back, but the waiter seemed to have different ideas. He dropped the change off at our table and left.
My dad who was on his phone at the time wasnt paying him any mind, so I picked up the change and counted it out for him. What I found shocked me. Instead of the fourteen dollars ($14) we were owed he had given us five dollars ($5). I told dad and he ended his phone conversation. He counted it again then we looked around to see if we could flag him down, but no such luck. We waited an additional fifteen minutes before he resurfaced. Then as he was leaving the table behind us and walking past us I called out to him he stopped and made his way back. I told him he shorted us and he asked by how much. It took another fifteen minutes before he came back with our money. He counted it out and apologized and left.
This doesn't mean we didn't end up tipping him my dad still tipped him, just not the twenty percent. We tipped and left. The other waitstaff and hostess bid us a a fairwell. Safe to say I wont be going back to that particular casa ole for...
Read moreI have been to this location several times and usually am happy with it over all. However today I went with my mother, sister and brother in-law. When the waiter brought out my sister's and my drink he spilled it all over my mom and in her purse. He quickly apologized and brought towels. We had to move ourselves to another table and the manager never came to check on us nor apologize himself. When we asked if something could be done to comp our ticket due to the circumstances The manager authorized a 25% discount and that is all.....seriously I have seen meals completely comped for way less. The waiter again apologized and said he wish he could do more... or comp the whole thing but that he didn't have that ability. Then as we were leaving the manager was at the front. We asked him if he was the manager and he stumbled on his words as if he really didn't want to answer. We reiterated with him how 25% was not acceptable and how we were extremely disappointed that he never made an effort to even come to our table to apologize himself or ask how we were doing. I will never go back to this location again and I will let everyone I know how they treat their customers. As for the food it was all good except for the queso which was extremely watery. If we want Casa Ole again we will go to the College Station location.... never...
Read moreYuck ! Hadn't had Casa Ole in 20 yrs . Wanted to get an old taste bud fix from many years ago, only to regret I patronise them . It was wack ! Enchiladas were not good at all. Ordered Queso, and it was served cold ~ imagine trying to dip into cold cheese . The refried beans were stiff... I'm not a drinker, but the best thing was the $2 happy hour drinks. While still attempting to enjoy a drink and the chips & weird green looking salsa , we paid for our food and even gave the guy a generous tip. We didn't get acknowledge by him again after he received his tip & payment. Which was kool ~ but we were still sitting with half eaten plates & full glasses of margaritas. He kept passing thru purposely looking another way, as to not have to be bothered by us anymore. He wasn't rude, we definitely weren't rude. But I guess he saw all the food still left, and although we paid our bill & gave a good tip; quickly after realizing that we patronised the wrong lunch spot. That food was nasty ! Service sucked ! I would be really pissed if we hadn't of got our food on happy hour price. It still wasn't that. MY PICTURES DEFINITELY MAKE THE ENTREES SEEM APPEALING. I figured I'd give them that I'm hoped that they...
