Nana's Pancake Place — Restaurant in Bryan

So, picture this: you walk into Nana's Pancake Place and bam! The smell hits you - freshly brewed coffee and pancakes on the griddle. It's like stepping into breakfast heaven.

Let's talk about the food. Oh man, it's amazing. Like, seriously good. I had the breakfast sandwich on multigrain toast with potatoes & my business associate had the eggs Benedict. I could only eat half my sandwich & threw the other half in the air-fryer for lunch - still amazing! (Sorry, I didn't know I would be writing a review so I didn't get pics! The food both looked and tasted amazing though!)

Now, onto the slight hiccup. My coffee ended up in my business associate's hands, and I got her tea instead. Plus, I never got my water. Oops! Also, the staff kinda did this thing where they'd repeat each other's tasks. Like, we had our waitress and this other guy both taking care of us, and they kinda tripped over each other a bit.

But you know what? Despite the mix-ups, the staff were super friendly & the food was great. The place also got a bit of a makeover recently, so it feels really open and not all outdated like it was.

In the end, Nana's Pancake Place is a spot worth hitting up for a killer breakfast. Sure, they've got a few kinks to iron out in the service department, but the food and atmosphere totally make up for it. So, if you're in the mood for some top-notch food and a laid-back vibe, give...

My eggs Benedict was the worst I ever tasted. EVER. The hollandaise sauce smelled and tasted terrible...a little like vomit. My husband tried it and couldn't swallow a bite. My husband ordered the ham &eggs because the menu said they use THICK ham. It was slightly thicker than paper and was weird, but he ate it. I couldn't eat mine.I explained very quietly to our server that the hollandaise was the issue when she asked whyShe took the eggs Benedict off our bill and graciously brought me a bagel. I wish I would have gotten her name but she was young, slender, and brunette. She was helpful, charming, and efficient. We were totally ready to write it off as just something that happens occasionally but then 2 other people came from the kitchen and interrogated me about why I didn't like the breakfast. This made me overwhelmingly uncomfortable and ruined our experience. I urge the kitchen staff to rethink this practice if it is something that they do regularly, because it is off-putting. Perhaps allowing the servers to do their jobs is more appropriate (unless the kitchen needs to offer an honest apology minus the interrogation). Well I sit here in little Bryan Ohio and I heard about this place when it 1st opened up ! All I hear was HIGH PRICES and you will leave there HUNGRY ! So I stayed away ! I was afraid to go there ! I don't like going in places and spend my $$$ and be disappointed I was on their Facebook page that they change the kitchen staff and the menu . I believe they are really trying to improve the place ! The restaurant business is hard business to succeed in little Bryan Ohio .
