Best bbq ever. No seriously, it was so good. The front clerk was so nice and she had no problem explaining things to us that we weren’t sure about(they have an item called armadillo egg). She wasn’t annoyed that we had questions. Very nice. The food was not dried out. So flavorful. I had the pulled pork sandwich and I have to say, it was the best pulled pork I’ve ever had. Smokey, but great flavor! My husband had the burnt ends and the hot links. He said it was one of the best burnt ends he’s ever had(and he’s a picky bbq food person) and he loved the hot links. Our kids all loved their pulled pork nachos. We loved the strawberry lemonade. They were at Amadio Farm for the day, so we got to enjoy eating outside and we loved every minute. Heading back from CA to AZ we found Hernandez BBQ online, saw the reviews and had to stop. We visited their Laveen location, and had an amazing meal. The pork belly was the best I have ever had, the pulled pork with their bbq sauce was a standout. The portions were large, the sides were delicious: cream corn, jalapeño pork beans (great flavor!), potato salad. If you want to try something different, order up their armadillo egg, a stuffed and wrapped jalapeño. You won’t be disappointed! They also make their own drinks and desserts.
