Black Rock Coffee in Verrado has quickly become one of my absolute favorite spots, and every visit reminds me why. I always order the sugar-free Black and White—it’s smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced every time. For anyone who appreciates a great cup of coffee without all the sugar, this is definitely the way to go.

One of the things that truly sets this location apart is the exceptional service. From the moment you pull up, the staff is consistently friendly, welcoming, and genuinely upbeat. They greet you with a smile, engage in authentic conversation, and somehow make every customer feel like they’re part of the Black Rock community. It’s rare these days to find that level of personal connection and positive energy, especially in fast-paced service environments.

The speed of service is another standout. Even when they’re busy, which they often are due to how popular they’ve become, the team keeps the line moving efficiently without ever sacrificing quality. I’ve never once received a rushed or inconsistent drink, and that says a lot about their training and culture.

I also really enjoy their narrative and brand vibe. The staff brings a fun, relaxed, yet professional attitude that makes the quick stop for coffee feel more like a positive experience than just another errand. I’ve grubhubed to this location twice now. Both times have had issues so there will not be a 3rd. I have a dairy and gluten allergy. First time they subbed my gluten free item (apparently out of stock) with something NOT gluten free. Was not a good day for me after that as you could probably imagine. Today’s order, they did not label the coffees as I ordered for myself and my bf. Again, dairy allergy, I’m also pregnant and do half caf. My bf does not. Both coffees tasted like vanilla (only 1 was supposed to be), we could not tell the difference. I was not going to risk drinking his with dairy in it and get sick, AGAIN. I also am not going to risk a full caffeinated drink with my pregnancy. So now I don’t have coffee and he will only drink 1 and the other got thrown down the sink. Such a waste of money. You can’t even call the store and speak to someone. Last time I contacted them on their website I never heard back. So contacting their website is a joke. Horrible service. Unbelievable, I’ve been coming to Black Rock Coffee Bar since it opened this location, I find it to be the only coffee shop in Verrado that’s even close to being reliable and make somewhat consistent drinks. I showed up today, Friday at 8:30am to just get a iced cold brew, I ordered and waited on the side, within the next 20 minutes all I saw was cars in the drive through getting serviced, trays of drinks and food just being nonstop shuttled though the window meanwhile there’s 10-12 people waiting on their orders inside, after waiting the whole time, my names called and the lady says she can’t make my iced cold brew, I ask for just a iced coffee instead and the she says she can’t make it, so I finally say just make any coffee iced and all I get back is a “sorry”. I asked for a refund and left. 8:30am on a Friday and you’re pulling this. This location really needs to better balance the drive-thru and lobby, I’ve seen it since day one they treat the drive-thru like it’s the only way they get paid and let the lobby just build up in the meantime and act like it’s a chore if it’s...
