Well. The bartender served our table, he was nice but also distracted; in my opinion because we were just another tourist. You know, in a tourist location. The menu is posted outside so you can know ahead of time that there's not many options. We saw what we thought would and should be good so we went in. It's not a bad place, it's decorated nicely, it's a bit too dark in my opinion. Theres table seating, bar seating, and somewhat heigh-top seating. Chicken Tikka masala was my order. This was a very small portion served in a cast iron dish. A strange take on this dish, served barely warmer than the room. The chicken was dried out, the rice was bland even with the other parts mixed in. There's no salt at the tables. This was $17 Cobb Salad with added chicken was the other order. That's $22 total and was reported to be not very good. Pickled eggs had been pickled for about 30 seconds, the pickled onion was nearly non-existent. Presentation was nice though. We had soda and sweet tea. Both were refilled for no additional cost. I ordered a pretzel which I saw other people had which was very big. It was served very hot which it should be, it tasted good with the included cheese sauce and spicy mustard. That's $12. For the two of us to share, ok, no problem. The bar seems to have a regular crowd which seems odd for the area but whatever, annoying people exist. I generally try to stay away from eating at places near interstates or tourist areas because they don't have motivation to care about quality considering most of their customers they will never see again as they pass through. I would consider this place again for alcoholic drinks and that pretzel. And when the menu says chips, they mean potato chips, not french fries as one may think it would be with a...
Read moreDon’t waste your time coming here. Went for a day of shopping and enjoying the atmosphere of the area. Decided to grab a bite before continuing on with the nearby shops. waited in the doorway to be seated for well over 35 minutes.
The young kid at the door who was supposed to be seating parties, was mainly standing around not doing much of anything. He asked us how many people in our party, told us approximately how long the wait would be, and then just blew off the rest of his duties. Granted, they were extremely short staffed, and I am understanding of that. But there then came a time where 5 tables opened up, and we continued to stand and wait. This kid didn’t even bother going over to wipe the tables down in order to get us seated.
There was a line out the door and no reason for it. We could have been given a rag and wiped down a table ourselves and been happy about it. Just to be able to sit down. Zero excuse for an employee standing around doing nothing when the restaurant is packed to the gills.
We contemplated leaving multiple times but we sunk so much time into waiting already, and since the village was so busy, we probably wouldn’t have had any luck elsewhere—there was going to be a wait regardless—so we reluctantly decided to stick it out. Mistake.
Overpriced, menu is super limited, and the cocktails are super strong(in a bad way, all you taste is liquor.) Briefly thought about giving 2 stars because the pub pretzel was fantastic, and our table server was obviously working hard and doing her best to get us what we needed in a timely manner.
I hope they don’t share tips here because not everyone pulls their own weight. Not even close. Will definitely be back to Peddler’s Village, but definitely WILL NOT be back to Peddler’s Pub....
Read moreWhen we first walked in we had to wait until the manager finished his conversation before seating us. Food was disappointing and underwhelming for the price point. Our drinks (the peach pit) had a sour almost bad after taste and definitely wasn’t worth $14 a pop. The apple tartain was served shortly after our roast beef sandwiches… and the tartain could have been improved with a drizzle of honey and a dash of finishing salt. Our roast beef sandwiches had very nicely seasoned beef served on excellent bread; but au jus would have made it memorable. It was served with chips and a sad pickle. Our bill was $77 for two soured drinks; an ambitious appetizer that missed the mark (and came after our sandwiches) and two small roast beef sandwiches that were in need of au jus…. Definitely not worth the price we paid. Our drinks took a long time for the amount of business in the restaurant; and we had to flag down the manager to pay our bill. Music was also a bit too loud and interruptive, so much so that we could barely hear ourselves or our server. All in all, with the limited menu options, high prices and poor ambiance; we will not be returning and do not recommend. High prices are expected at restaurants in Peddlers Village; so the expectation for excellent food is high for consumers. Peddlers Pub missed the mark in...
