Bahama Buck's - Buda — Restaurant in Buda

This place has completely lost my business. For 10 minutes I sat there waiting for a soda, watching at least three teenagers joke and laugh behind the counter while two other teenagers did all the work. Occasionally, between their joking, they would look directly at me and ignore me. For 10 minutes, not a single one of them asked me what order I was waiting for or if I had been helped. I finally walked up to the counter to ask one of the two actually working about my order. One of the kids that was joking finally stood up and made my drink. Took less than one minute to make. He apologized for my order being "misplaced". This isn't the first time I've had issues there. I rarely go to Bahamas because the service is poor almost every time, whether it's the extensive wait times or the lack of care from some of the people working there, it is always something. I wanted to give the benefit of a doubt and give a little more grace since most working there are new to the workforce but one can only take so much. If you want your business to be taken seriously, maybe let the employees there know about proper customer service. Not a mile down the road is an AMAZING, LOCAL sno-cone spot, Snowball's Chance. It also has teenagers working there most days. They're respectful, courteous, efficient, responsible and good at running the stand. My family and I have been faithful customers since they have opened their doors. They're a part of our family's tradition - good times and bad, or after we have spent some time in the sun we grab "Bahama Mama's". (That's what our kids call it and the name has stuck).

Me and My husband's favorite is a Large Flat Top Caramel Apple with White Tropic Creme. Our kids favorite is Black Cherry with Chocolate Creme. (We think Flat tops are more flavorful but that's our preference).

Yes, their line may be long at times but the wait is WELL worth it.

We have had an order messed up in the past, but we have since spoken with the owners and have not had any issues since. Please note that the owners and employees care about their customers and service. If you have an issue with your sno/drink/blend, they will make it right for you on the spot.

I have been a fan of Bahama Bucks for a long time now. Was so excited when they finally opened locations in Central Texas. The quality of the shaved ice isn’t the problem. The service is my issue with this location. This was my first time visiting the store. I ordered two baby shaved ices. One flavor each, simple. There were at least five employees working. It took longer than 15 minutes to receive my order. There was no structure as to which employee was supposed to be taking orders or building the orders. I saw one girl who seemed like she was the manager working but on the drive thru orders. The other four employees not sure what they were doing.

Another customer came in after me and ordered. She received her drink before I did. She appeared to know one of the employees and they began working on her order immediately.
