Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Buda

Me and Pratt have been coming to this Chikis for years and now I don't think I will ever eat at this one again. I'm a rewards member there, we have always celebrated things there examples my new job, his new job, that we were expecting usually always our go to spot. I got a gift card from work and wanted to treat us out to a nice family outing on 2/16/2024. We had gotten Marshall the kids cheeseburgers, Pratt had smokehouse platter, and I had a burger. We had a little wait for our food but had our chips and salsa to help. When time to leave I let Mia our waitress who was great know we had a gift card then will pay the remaining balance. She said no problem she would be right back with the check. Brought it to us only $21 left over so that's easy enough! I mean why use a gift card if your just going to get screwed over? So since Mia was running all over Pratt took the receipt to the kiosk where (Dustin) the manager was at with someone else. I watched as Pratt stood there waiting for one of them to even acknowledge him. Finally they did, he came back with confused look on his face. He gave me the receipt which right away I noticed showed an alarming $58.76. He said they told him it will show this but then on my bank account it will show the leftover balance. I was already confused because the amounts didn't add up. So I check my bank account and sure enough the $58 was pending not the left over. So I said nope its not right so he then went over back to them. At this time Mia came over and I explained what the issue was and she said oh no that's not right. She then went over there. What happened was the manager charged us a different tables ticket. So then Mia and him come over to take my card to cancel this transaction and do a charge for correct amount. Ok great so she brings back correct receipt with showing only $21.58 will be charged this time. So I sign we leave night over. Then 2 days later I check and BAMMMM not only did the $58 take out but a $31.58 charged to my account as well. So I call Chilis in Buda and asked for manager. Yesi I believe how it is spelled got on phone with me. I explained the situation she said she found the one for $58 and put in for request for refund for the $68.76 that will take up to 5 -7 buisness days. Great perfect. No not great. Waited the time called since I had not seen anything. She said yes she submitted it that day we talked she and email a request to track it and see where it's at. I said yes, she said she was going to be off then back again on Tuesday this week after 3pm to call back then. Ok I did and guess what, she then tried to say she called me 3 times right after we last talked but couldn't remember what day it was but she tried 3 times no answer. 1st off I would've answered but if I didn't why not leave a voice-mail? So I moved past that and asked what she found out. She said that corporate denied it asking why she (I) wanted more money then I paid for. So I then again asked if she explained to them I was charged twice. She was like you had to receipts that night I said yes like when I first explained it to you. She said well I got the approval for the $58.76 only. I said is that going to take another 5-7 days before I see my refund. She said yes 5-7 days. I said and what about my other money she said I would have to talk to the other manager it's not technically her job then said that I could call corporate. So I asked for their number and she said for me to WAIT UNTIL AFTER THE 5-7 DAYS. Like no I've already waited long enough. So I said no I'm calling them now. She told me I could Google their number. When i said I always eat here but not anymore and that this is ridiculous she only said sorry you felt that way. I'm sorry but if this is how Buda Chili's is I will never recommend it again. To lose a customer due to their mess up. Be careful with when you actually look at what you are paying. The one I saw before the guy gave Pratt the 58 had all correct items of ours on there. Buda...

Today's experience was better than my last visit to this location. The staff was friendlier and more helpful. The waitress was more attentive and patient with all the children. The food was still pricy and not a real value for what was served. My grandkids enjoyed their meals, but the server had to go and get some of the missing items. We had ordered extra side dishes with the kids meals and didn't get them at first. But their drinks were kept filled. We had ordered 3 different appetizers and only received 2 of them. At least we weren't charged for it. But we didn't get plates for the appetizers and had to use just forks. Plates were finally brought after the appetizers were finished. The children's food came out first, which we had asked for, but adults food was delayed as the extra side dishes had to brought out. When the food arrived, the 3 that had ordered burgers didn't receive the fries and to ask for them. An side of fries that no one had asked for was later brought out. Everyone told the server that no one had asked for them, yet he left it at the table. We were charged for them. When letting the person know about the charge, I was told that we should have refused and return the fries. I explained that we did refuse the fries, but the server still left them. The charge was not removed. Speaking of the charge, as I said earlier that this was not a real value, I compared it with other outings. I've taken the same group to Lubys, golden corral, Rosa's tortilla factory and have never spent more than 90. Today's experience was almost twice that. I love Chili's.. My favorite is the chips& salsa, I can't even make it home before the salsa is all gone. I have always ordered from the Chili's on Stassney & IH 35 Frontage Rd Austin, Tx and I love the staff, food, & atmosphere here. I always order for take out & everytime I go to pick up the order I ask for extra Salsa & chips and never do I get an attitude from the staff or rudely comment you have to pay for it. They give it to me with a smile and very sweet. But, when I came to this location Buda, Tx to pick up our order there wasnt anyone around to get my paid order. I waited & waited so then when I saw my name on an order I was about to grab it a very rude staff person said dont do that. I told her Ive been waiting for a while now & my food is probably cold plus this order is also for my senior father which its getting late and his food is cold. She didnt apologize or say anything but rolled her eyes and handed me our cold food. She forgot my chips and salsa that I paid for so when she went to grab that I asked for extra chips & salsa she said you have to pay for it. I said wow even the attitude, long wait, & cold food. No thanks I walked out. Then as I'm about to drive away she walks out and is smoking a cig with a few workers just looking at me with that stank look & laughing. I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN I just can't believe people like this Work in the hospitality field and yet expect people to tip them when they treat people like that & for the company to allow this behavior is appalling.
