My wife is driving and we're pulling up to the store, so I'm putting the order together on the app. I try to check out, but it keeps telling me I'm trying to check out with items that aren't available. Weird, because it's a very simple order; two 2 cheeseburger meals. We figure it must be a problem with the app, she suggests we just use the code to get the 20% discount and app rewards. Inconvenient but nbd, it happens. The voice taking the order is a little tense, a little abrupt. Maybe that distracted me in the moment because right after we order, I realize I forgot to say I wanted my burgers plain. Obviously not a big deal at all, right? I tell my wife that I'll just let the person at the window know when we pull up. We get up to the window and the person there is neglecting acknowledging us. Don't get me wrong, I've worked plenty of food jobs. I worked at the McDonald's in North Hollywood, the closest one to Universal. I know how it goes, sometimes you need to focus on what you're doing because you've got a lot of tasks you've gotta get done. Okay, so we get up to the window. "Excuse me", my wife softly calls out. My wife is a soft-spoken woman, and really doesn't like being rude to service workers. "Excuse me", she calls out again and again. It takes a couple minutes for this abrupt, blue-haired, Dodgers tattoos-covered person to rotate her wide body the 30 degrees toward the window it would take for them to give us the attention my wife had been calling for. Finally, the woman is left with no choice but to acknowledge us. My wife lets this person know "I'm sorry, we made a mistake while ordering. Can I get two of the burgers plain?" You know what this beast snarls back? "We already made them." This 7-foot tall orc is towering over my poor little wife from the window like she could start rolling toward us like the boulder from Temple of Doom at any moment. We can see and hear her panting, little bubbles of spit forming at the base of the patches of dried saliva in the corners of her mouth. My poor wife, she says "O-Ok..." There's an awkward silence for a moment, and then the beast snarls again "That'll be $17.56" My wife hands her our card. I'm flabbergasted that this person, creature, just intimidated my wife for trying to correct our order. In my head I'm thinking right there, forget this place, lets take the card back and leave. I'm struggling to form a coherent thought process about it as I write it out an hour or two later because, WOW. How do you let someone like this work at your store? I tell her, No, we want two of those burgers plain. THIS IS NOT A LOT TO ASK. YOU ALREADY MADE THEM? BIG DEAL. PUT THEM IN THE NEXT GUYS BAG, THEY HAVE NOT YET LEFT THE COUNTER WHERE YOU LOAD THE BAGS. Your employee tells us "Well... We're gonna have to park you", all exasperated. "that's ok." My wife sheepishly replies. She turns around and makes this big scene about needing two plain burgers to the line cook, and "TAKE THOSE OUTTA THE BAG, THEY'RE WRONG" to some other poor, much younger employee who is likely being constantly intimidated/bullied by this person, just all dramatic and gross. We pull forward and I begin to expect the worst. She's going to spit in a burger, or she's going to make us wait 15 minutes, some crazy stuff... It takes about 15 seconds for the younger employee to come bring us our burgers and we're on our way.We didn't "need to be parked" for two plain burgers with one person in line behind us. She was weird. This person you hired is volatile and you should get rid of them before they do something unsafe. There are many, many reasons not to return to McDonald's right now. The prices are getting worse and worse, portions smaller, the aesthetic is garbage now... on top of it all, we shouldn't be made this stressed over something as simple as picking up dinner. This food, this service, it's not worth sitting there wondering "is this irate person going to mess with my food?" We're not going to be going to McDonald's for a long time and it certainly won't be at this...
Read moreEveryone who is into Minions will be hunting for Minions Toys, and here is my super disappointing experience with the night manager Chris L, and of course, I didn't get any of them because I was so upset. After tonight, I believe the night management is a joke at this location.
Around 8pm, I walked into the restaurant, and no one greeted me, even though a few staffs were walking by behind the counter. After the only cashier is done fixing the tray for another customer, she greeted me. I asked for the availability of the Minions, she turned around & asked Chris (the so-called Manager). She probably has no knowledge of that. How can that be? You don't know what you are selling?
I started asking Chris which one(s), and he said he has EVERYTHING, and pointed me to go back to the door display to look instead of sincerely showing me what he has. I was quite shocked that he made the customer to walk, instead of showing me right there as it was not busy. I guess he was too busy chatting with his visitor about gym visit. At the display, there are no numbers, so I wouldn't know which one is which. Also, he said he can only sell me 6, coz. he has to save for other customers. I think that's legit.
When he took out 6, I asked politely if he can give me 3 more because I was buying for another friend. He said Yes and took 3 more out. I told him to hold for me for a bit so I could call my friend to confirm the numbers needed, he then took all the toys out of the counter RIGHT AWAY with a DISGRUNTLED face as if I would steal all toys.(Hello! I am standing right there with your surveillance camera on!!)
When I was still trying to call my friend, he came back to me and said he could only sell me 3, because that's the corporate policy and other BS..blah blah blah!! Then I said, if that's the corporate policy, you should know it clearly as a manager, and should tell me right away when I asked. Your version of corporate policy kept changing, from 6 to 9 and from 9 to 3...etc and he even gave me his full name and store#....BUT NO APOLOGIZING AT ALL!!!!
Since the Manager doesn't know customer service, corporate policy and how to treat a customer correctly, I have no idea if I should trust this location and the staff, based on this experience!!!! That makes me wonder if their food is consistent as the management is a joke and doesn't keep their words. If they don't care about their customers, how can they deliver good food and service? I seriously don't think I will come back to this location and will advise my friends/family to stay away from this location. If you want better service, I would recommend you to go...
Read moreI ordered foor through drive through around 6:30pm. The Burgers and Fries were served cold. I live about 3-4 minutes away. When my family and I sat down to eat, I opened the bag and the Large Fries were only only about a little over half way full like if there is a shortage of Mc Donalds French Fries!!! It looked like I ordered only a medium fries.
We called the phone number on the reciept and a girl by the name of Brianna had answered the phone. We let her know about the situation and we had to drive back to this Mc Donalds to get more fries.
Well, when we finally returned, they barely filled up the fries and it was still under the regular amount of fries serving portions at all of the other Mc Donalds that I go to and have been to in the past.
Never again will we ever go back to this cheap location!!! The Mc Donald's next to Knott's Berry Farm on Beach Blvd. and La Palma has way better food and service anyway.
In fact, they should have remade the whole order without y!!! This was just really a really the worst Mc Donalds experience that my family and I had.
They absolutely do not care about their...
