After hearing this was a top wing spot in Buffalo it was a pretty disappointing experience to say the least. I was eating with a friend here and we ordered 20 wings each and some fries. After waiting about 40 minutes one of the waitresses brings out a singular plate of 10 cold wings for my friend before bringing out the rest of the wings that were also cold 10 minutes later. What am I supposed to do for that long, just watch the other person eat and stare at them? It makes no sense that the rest of the wings were cold if I had to wait another 10 minutes for them to come out. For some odd reason all of the hot wings I had were all flats and the lemon pepper wings were all drums. Why on earth would you split up the wings that way. Itâs like no thought at all went into preparing the food. The fries had so much salt on them they were hardly edible. The lemon pepper wings had so much artificial lemon seasoning that you couldnât even see the skin of the chicken wing. The hot wings were decent, similar sauce to duffs so nothing special but it doesnât matter because everything was ice cold. The service was awful, we had no napkins and the waitresses never once asked to fill up water or anything. I donât get how establishments expect you to pay inflated prices for mediocre dining experiences that include horrible service and cold food AND then expect you to tip on top of it all? It...
Read moreLet me tell you something about Aldofs: this place is the Notre Dame of wing joints. I walked in, ordered 20 wingsâ10 mild, 10 garlic Parmesanâand when I tell you they were elite, I mean these wings came out like a perfectly executed Marcus Freeman game plan. Crunchy on the outside, tender on the inside, seasoned with the kind of precision youâd expect from Touchdown Jesus himself coaching in the kitchen. The garlic Parmesan? Thatâs CJ Carr dropping dimes to Jaden Greathouse . The mild? Thatâs Jeremiah Love hitting the gap and bursting downfield with flavor. You donât just eat these wings, you watch them dominate like the Ęź88 Irish steamrolling Miami, and yesâmark it downâNotre Dameâs about to do it AGAIN this Sunday. South Bend builds legends. South Beach? They canât even build a proper defense against Aldofsâ sauce. Every bite had me chanting like the student section: âHERE COME THE IRISH!â I half-expected the wings to line up in a power formation and drive straight through my plate. If Miami fans show up here, they better stick to celery sticks, because these wings are way too elite for the U. Aldofs isnât just a restaurant. Itâs a cathedral of crispy greatness, a stadium of saucy glory. If you want mediocrity, go to Hard Rock Stadium. If you want excellence, get the garlic Parmesan. GO IRISH âď¸đĽ Wings...
Read moreGreat food!!! Server (forgot her name, but daughter of the owner) was very friendly, and we enjoyed the cozy historical atmosphere. Will 100% be back very soon. We were very happy with our experience.
Wings - Amazing! Some of the best. As per the menu, they are served nice and crispy. But they were not dried out at all. I had the "house made" blue cheese which I greatly enjoyed; however it is a bit different from typical so not all might like it. (I think they used some yogurt in there but this is totally just a guess.) It seemed a bit less "blue" than typical - my friend who normally does not like blue cheese enjoyed it - but still was nice and chunky. Yum! They do have a "normal" option if preferred. I tried the Hot BBQ option.
Roast beef - so nice and tender. Horseradish was fresh and spicy. Again, one of the better I have had.
Stuffed banana peppers - I always prefer them with sausage and tomato sauce so was very happy with these.
I look forward to trying the Friday (only) Fish Fry.
(Note: this is a older historical building so there are stairs; additionally most of the dining area is on the 2nd floor, so please note if that is an issue for you. Street...
