Resurgence Brewing Company — Restaurant in Buffalo

Resurgence Brewing Co is a very nice place to visit for a good craft beer and some excellent grub.

We stopped in to try our luck on some of the craft beers and a late lunch. Although they were relatively busy the bar tender Chris was very welcoming and helpful with getting us served and even answering questions regarding their current pours.

We placed an order for food and unfortunately a portion of the order was messed up. It very well could have been due to them being busy but what was worse was the time it took to fix it. The mishap was cheese in one of the orders for someone who does not eat dairy products.

THEY HAVE FRIED PICKLES! Yes for a starter we tried them out and man I have to say they are well worth it. Made with a thin batter and fried to a perfect crisp not under or over done and they come with a very good somewhat tangy sauce that made the dish great.

Burgers! Yeah they have them too and I chose the Chicago Street Burger with Bacon. It was cooked to perfection and comes with a side of wedge fries that was a good portion and were done perfect.

Open Face Chicken Parm Sandwich. Jen chose this full 3 course sandwich for a lunch not knowing it could easily be 2 meals. She did say it was very good and filling.

Cajun Chicken BBQ wrap was Kelly's choice and although it states it comes with Cheese she specifically asked for no cheese. This is where the mishap came into play. Excellent experience overall. I got the RBC Burger with a fried egg and it was great. However, the service is what makes this place a 5 star experience. Peyton, Brad, and the entire team were spectacular. From the moment we walked in and got seated at the bar, regardless of how busy it was— Brad was quick to greet us and offer us a drink and food menu. He took his time to answer my questions on their fantastic drink menu and let me taste different ones when debating between 2 options. Ultimately, all the drinks I had were great and Brad had no problem when we asked to move to a table before the food came out. He even went the extra step to help us move our utensils, drinks, and menus to the table even after we said he didn’t need to. The thoughtfulness was greatly appreciated. Once we got to our table, Peyton’s service was an exceptional addition to the wonderful team. Always with a smile on her face, she was attentive to our needs at the table and made her rounds appropriately. Too often, servers at restaurants either don’t come around enough or check in excessively where it can be a little too much. Peyton did a great job at making sure that our drinks were always full and that we didn’t need anything else. We had great conversation with her as well.

Although the food was great, I would like to come back particularly for the atmosphere the staff provided and the whole vibe of the place. The team at RBC was exceptional and they should be...

EDIT: upper management at Resurgence went above and beyond to reach out, discuss, and connect with me in order to right a wrong. Drew was fantastic in addressing the issue in a professional and polite manner and exceeded expectations of customer service. Thank you, Drew, for your time. We will be back.

“Previously had wonderful experiences with Resurgence so this was a massively disappointing one. I tried to organize a surprise birthday party and requested a private space for the party 2-3 months prior to the party. I called the day of the party to confirm the details and they again claimed that I had the reserved space and they’d see me later. We show up and we’re told that we had to now go to the taproom because a “larger party took over.” They didn’t kick the party out of our reserved spot and forced us into a very crowded corner of the taproom (not private at all). I called to speak with the manager the next day and he just apologized and said the group took over… however, it is your establishment to run and manage and I was horribly displeased they didn’t make the party move from our previously long standing reserved spot and didn’t do anything to rectify the situation.. Very unprofessional and dampened a special, milestone surprise birthday party for me and my friends. The only true surprise was how ridiculous it was that they couldn’t even call to inform me that I had lost my reserved...
