Bellini's Bistro — Restaurant in Buffalo

Sad and disappointed. After passing a couple times by this place witch seemed so warm and inviting in evenings. I always told my husband, I want to stop by this place. I love to support local and small business in buffalo and for sure around neighborhood. So my husband decided on this 14 of February 2023 to surprise me after work. We arrived like 4:25 ish not knowing it opened it's doors at 5pm. I'm trying to open the door and the first thing this lady told us when she opened the door was "What do you want!!! In a very disrespectful way, looking at us from head to toe. Our body language saids alot about us. I said, i thought you were open i see the lights on, "We open at 5pm" she answered back. I said, oook and we walked away. My husband was very quiet told me as we walked away, let's find someplace else. I felt very bad, thinking later, what way of treating people that are coming to visit your place your business and you get treated like this. If your having a bad day don't just take out on the first person you see. The world is already falling apart we don't need one more person being rude impolite selfish uneducated with one another let's be nice let's get along being...

We were staying at a nearby Bed & Breakfast (Harmony House) and drove by Bellini's on our inbound trip, thought that place looks interesting. Always love the little restaurants setting smackdab in the middle of a neighborhood. Bellini's didn't disappoint, not in the slightest. From the moment we walked in the door, our experience was one of walking into a friends home. Warm, friendly and laid-back. We had our meals picked out until the waitress told us the specials... Linguine w/alfredo sauce topped with blackened chicken and seared jumbo scallops. And I mean jumbo!! Ribeye finished with a finishing sauce...hahaha, I can't remember the name! w/garlic mashed taters and fresh asparagus. Everything was great!! Steak cooked exactly like I asked, wonderful flavor! Scallops were sweet and tender! Blackened chicken was moist and delicious! Topped dinner off with a slice of house-made coconut cake, which was not a mistake!! Just super all around!! Thank you for making us feel like regulars on our first visit!! It definitely will not...

We dined at Bellini's for the first time on 2/26/25 and cannot say enough of our experience. It was a very slow evening, which is too bad they have any slow evenings in a walkable west-side neighborhood. The food was really really excellent, better than Hutch's second endeavor Angeline and Aroma Trattoria (though both of those good don't come at me). But truly flavor I normally don't experience in dishes that don't normally differ from place to place. We both split the caprese and the banana peppers which were both full of flavor, the banana peppers were some of the best cheese stuffed blend I've ever had. We then both had the dual filet with mash, medium rare. Cooked perfectly and the flavor of the glaze over the steak was phenomenal. The owners spoke with us and we're inviting and friendly and provided great service, as did their server Bella who was very accommodating, professional and knowledgeable. We will return regularly for sure and I hope everyone starts to pile in this...
