I can't say enough great things about Billy Club. Went there March 7th for dinner. We had been given recommendations for 7 places enjoyed by a friend who is a Buffalo resident, but we ended up at Billy Club instead. We were not disappointed. At first we were a little unsure, an item I had my eye on wasn't available, same with a couple other items on the smallish menu. We both had the hanger steak, and Eric our waiter offered me a substitution of Brussels sprouts for the potato (keto). I had a gorgeous cocktail (called Time of Yes?) that was gin based with green peas and pink peppercorns. It was ridiculously beautiful, smooth, perfectly balanced flavours. The main arrived and we weren't so sure, we tend to want big servings. But we very quickly learned the experience of quality over quantity. The food was shockingly amazing. From the confit hazelnut with its delicate, delightfully nutty smoothness, to the parsnip smeer - light and full of flavor. Then there was the steak, cooked to an absolutely perfect medium rare, finished with salt flakes. I'm torn between what was better, the steak or the incredible fried Brussels sprouts that were both crispy and tender, with a slight acidity. I can honestly say this was the most enjoyable meal I've had in a while. Eric was exceptional, he offered his suggestions on their extensive whisky collection and was very attentive. After dinner we asked for suggestions on where to go for drinks etc and he provided us with a hand written list of his top three places in each of two different neighbourhoods. Talk about above and beyond! We felt incredibly comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We had one night in Buffalo and are thrilled we chose to have dinner...
Read moreBilly Club in Buffalo, NY is an absolute gem! Located at 228 Allen Street in the vibrant Allentown neighborhood, this place offers a cozy and intimate setting with modern yet rustic décor. The atmosphere is perfect for both casual dining and special occasions.
The menu is a delightful mix of contemporary American dishes, all made with locally sourced ingredients. I highly recommend trying their gourmet burgers, steaks, and seafood. They frequently update their menu to reflect seasonal availability, which keeps things fresh and exciting.
What truly sets Billy Club apart is their craft cocktails. The bartenders are skilled mixologists who create inventive drinks that are both classic and modern. Whether you have a favorite spirit or are open to trying something new, they’ve got you covered.

Read moreThe ambience is great and the food was nice enough (although the crudo had such a sharpness to it I had to take a break before trying other dishes). However, the experience we had was sub-par, which is why I have to give 2 stars. We ordered five dishes that all came out in less than 15 minutes from ordering and all arrived within 3 minutes of each other. So here we were at a tiny table 20 minutes in to our reservation with five dishes in front of us and our two (what were meant to be pre-dinner) cocktails in front of us. I told our server (Tyler) this was overwhelming, he apologised but didn’t offer to take anything back or accommodate in any way. As we worked through our dishes we had some nice surprises- the corn and peach was good, the lobster pasta great, the crudo was almost inedible (clearly a mistake the kitchen didn’t catch) and the heirloom tomato salad was fine. Pairing grilled octopus with black beans was maybe inventive, but not appetising. As soon as we put our forks down Tyler rushed over to ask if we wanted a dessert menu- again no time at all to relax, enjoy or digest, and I had to ask him to come back later. We then ordered two espressos and they arrived with no saucer, spoon or offer of sugar. We didn’t even have time to enjoy a glass of wine or second cocktail before this whirlwind was over. Without serious service improvements, I would not recommend this...
