Breadhive was indeed a interest that was well worth finding out about. Reason why I started out my review this way is because, I read about this place through my Lexington Co-op newsletter. Instantly another Co'op business but a bread company sparked my interest, so off I went to investigate. The location is very good, it reminded we of a bit of Elmwood/Allen town vibe and I love both those areas. Inside was clean and comfortable for table to relax, read and enjoy your lunch/breakfast. The fillings were delicious, but the crust of the bagel was a little too hard for my preference - it was hard to bite into the bagel without having all the fillings squish out. The flavors were perfect though, and it was the best day to enjoy it outside. We also got the raspberry custard bun and that was ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL. UPDATE: revisited after a long hiatus. as good as ever. I adore the texture of the bagels. they're crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. sandwiches are a great deal too. they're HUGE. I easily make 2 meals out of mine.
