Been curious about this place for sometime and today presented the opportunity to try it. Came with a couple of work mates. Simple, clean tavern with food and several tables. Old school and homey. Limited daily menu, but something for anyone who loves traditional Italian-American dishes. I am always hesitant to order red sauced dishes out, because I was taught how to make a mean red sauce by an old school Nonna. The Armory did not disappoint and frankly the sauce could easily compete with Mulberry's , which is my usual go to. Not to sweet, not to acidic, just right seasonings for an everyday red sauce. Thick sliced and fresh, seeded Italian bread and butter, generous portions, lovely personal service and inflation busting price points...OMG, what's not to love...
