Ah where do I start. Well it was my grandpas 80th birthday and he was so excited to try this place and well, it was a huge let down. The raviolis were supposed to come with meatballs, they didn’t. We got two lasagna dishes, they were completely different sizes. The rolls were beyond burnt. The hamburger was dry as a bone and the bun was burnt. We may have had a bigger order but we gave them a 24 hour notice. They said it would be ready at 5:30, we called and they changed it to 6.. okay that’s fine. We didn’t get the food till 6:40. Over an hour late and we didn’t get a discount or anything, just an extremely disappointing dinner. I hate writing bad reviews but this is necessary. If they couldn’t handle a larger order I would’ve rather them deny us instead of butchering most of the order. I didn’t get a picture of all the meals but here’s two.

My greatest friend of mine of 21 years and I went for the best experience over. From the moment we went, it was love at first sight. The decor was beautiful. The elder man behind the bar, it felt like we were family he didn't see forever. Our cute little table was waiting for us because we called and reserved a table for us to avoid the wait. The waitress was wonderful with helping us find what we wanted on the menu. Omg the house salad dressing that the waitress told me to try was amazing. You have to try it. I swear if I could buy it by the bottle, I would. The dinner portion was huge. Neither one of us could eat the whole meal. The dessert was rich and just a perfect touch. 21 years you can imagine we have eaten at a few places and this was the best one yet. We will be back. Thank you so much for a great night.

This is a unique place and it happens to be close to my house. Pasta fagioli is delicious. Complimentary garlic knots are tasty. Italian house dressing is outstanding. You gotta try it! Veal marsala was wonderful. Penne parm, not so great but menu is huge so lots to choose from. I didn't like the sauce but that's just me. Wine is a bit over priced for a little neighborhood joint. I've had the pizza before and it's OK. This is Buffalo, so lots of competition, but not bad. Come here for the ambience/experience and friendly owners who are always working. Chicken Madeira was absolutely the best. Onions, garlic, red peppers, sun dried tomatoes, artichokes, mushrooms and pine nuts over penne pasta

I wanted SO BADLY for this restaurant to be my FAVORITE authentic Italian family restaurant to order from, but sadly it was a HUGE DISSAPOINTMENT !! * I do want it to be known that this was a take-out/delivery order and pray they don't serve these portions while dining in * I couldn't believe the PORTION SIZE of the entrees & ESPECIALLY the SIDE DISHES !! THEY WERE SMALL, PATHETIC & ACTUALLY DRY because they were also stingy with the marinara sauce !! My artichoke ravioli would've been OUTSTANDING if they had more than 3 tablespoons of MARINARA sauce on top !!! As far as portion goes, the house salads literally had 1 tomato & 1 cucumber SLICE in each of them& the spaghetti sides had We both had chicken entrees that were TINY PIECES of cut up chicken instead of actual chicken breasts ! "Buffalo's Best" Chicken Francaise was horrible ! I didn't even recognize it as Chicken Francaise , I thought they made a mistake !! I will say the DEEP FRYED ARTICHOKE was AMAZING & the ARTICHOKE RAVIOLI would've also been outstanding IF they would've put more than a few tablespoons of MARINARA sauce on top which caused them to ALL STICK TOGETHER !! I would've never accepted this if I was dining in & I REFUSE to believe that this happens while dining in ! It sounds like the owner is STILL A HARD WORKER & would NEVER find any of this to be acceptable ! Also the lemon cake was DRY like it had been left out & was very small slices I'm so sorry but I feel like the owner & take-out/delivery customers should know this since you can't...

Okay listen, get over yourself. You just have to go to this restaurant with an open mind. It is old school Italian, yes, the decorations are a little over the top but this is perfect for the unpretentious, fun-loving customer. We tried the scallops Mary. The scallops were large and perfectly cooked with peppers and tomatoes on a bed of angel hair. I got sauteed spinach with tomatoes and mushrooms over penne, it was hearty and delicious in a very large portion. The meatballs are homemade and tasted like my grandmother's. We tried the coconut cream pie for dessert, it is absolutely fantastic, I highly recommend it! I would suggest fresh Italian bread over the garlic knots but that's just me. I like the atmosphere here, yes, quite honestly you could find better Italian but it would be more expensive and in a fancier setting that would not be nearly as cozy as Faso's. We love it here, it's not for everybody but it's for us we...

A very small and unassuming Italian restaurant located on Niagara Street in the Riverside/Black Rock neighborhood of the City. But when you REALLY want truly good Italian food (say, on a first or subsequent date) a small intimate place is really the way to go. Every day there are probably thousands of singles heading to so-called 'Italian' food factories like the Olive Garden. Take my advice and skip that garbage food, and take your date to Faso's. It has a nice atmosphere in which you can actually talk with your date and get to know them. As for the quality of their food, their slogan says it all: "Food so good, you'll think we stole your Mama'" It's much akin to the small Italian restaurant in the film The Godfather where Michael kills Virgil Sollazzo and the corrupt NYPD police Captain. Just leave your "cold" .38 Special at home and order a nice jug of Chianti for you...
