This place I would rate a 2! Why? Well, I was there today and spent $26.00. It seemed like they give you a decent portion of food. However, I get home thinking I'm really going to enjoy this meal. NOPE! They use the cheapest cuts of beef, that are very fatty! I found myself throwing out a lot of pieces, and their pork fried rice wasn't all that great either. You can literally see that fatty pieces of pork as they are light pink in color when they're supposed to be RED! Yep! I threw out a lot of pieces of pork as well. That's why they have signs "NO REFUNDS!" Because the quality of their food S_CKS! I should have gone to Hong Kong Kitchen at Forest and Elmwood, which is way better, but I was driving down Grant Street and thought let's get some Chinese Food. Another great place to go for Chinese food is Mongolians Buffet in Blasdell right near McKinley Mall. After trying to eat this so-called food from House Of China I thought "No wonder they have several signs stating NO REFUNDS! No Returns on Food!" It's cause their food s_cks! That should have been my hint, "Get outta here quick! Go To Hong Kong Kitchen or Mongolian Buffet." I was being lazy! I ended up throwing a good portion of the food in the trash! Where it belongs! Once you have had really good Chinese Food, You Won't Eat...
Read moreThey were a great restaurant but now I don’t respect them ever. I made a pick up order for my mom to pick up at 4:36 and when I did I said “Chicken fried rice and Homemade Ice Tea.” They said “It will be done in 20 minutes.” My mom who came back from work came at 4:50 and they weren’t done. And my mom went shopping and it took a while. She came back at 5:30, and she waited saying “are you guys done” and they weren’t they were JUST STARTING TO COOK IT. Reminder I called at 4:30 and they said 20 minutes. Then they said “fried rice and ice tea” but it wasn’t chicken fried rice so my mom said “you got wrong order.” And they said they didn’t so my mom said if they could do chicken fried rice and they refused to and she said “why you guys take so long” and he got furious kicked her out forcing her to. If I was there I would’ve protected her but I wasn’t. So he calls me back saying “maybe next time your mother can’t come because it’s difficult understanding her.” But is hearing the word Chicken fried rice hard? I know English and my mom kinda does but chicken fried rice is understandable. And when I later try to confront them by calling them now they blocked my number. This restaurant is really lucky I...
Read moreThis place is Valid. Being from Brooklyn NY I’m very skeptical about Chinese food. I lived in Buffalo for quite some time now, and found this to probably be the best Chinese food in the area between the west side and Elmwood village. The place isn’t a nice looking spot but that is expected of most Chinese restaurants. And the food is good. The bourbon chicken is my new favorite. But my go to’s are BBQ chicken wings with white rice, BBQ boneless ribs with white rice, or if I’m feeling really starchy pork fried rice no vegetables with beef Lo Mein no vegetables. Their Orange chicken is good too but beware the orange zest (pieces of orange peel) in it to give it a more orange flavor (great touch) just pick them out before yu devour.
If you are expecting A1 customer service remember it’s a Chinese restaurant not the hibachi or a luxury spot. Hot food quick service and if yu pay with card have yur ID they tired of being scammed and having to return...
