Lex 220 — Restaurant in Buffalo

Located where Vera was located, Lex 220 is now nestled into Lexington Ave.

I've been eyeing their progress to their soft open, which is what they still consider themselves in. I dropped in with a friend and we sat up at the bar. The bar is still in the same condition as it was in the space's previous incarnations. The bar seating is a mix of swivel seats, with a backing and standard metal stools.

From talking with the gentleman behind the bar, the plan is to specialize in cocktails with a twist. Like the tequila base espresso martini, which I first tried in Vegas gives a much deeper flavor than vodka. (So give it a try)

We started with the Lexington Lunchable, their take on a charcuterie board. My friend not liking pickles, we skipped the pickle. I'm not sure if the pickle is the "cracker" but this comes out just cheese and meat.

Eventually we ordered some mussels, the Frenchie which unfortunately they didn't have the whole grain mustard but the broth was amazing and these mussels are delicious. My friend ordered chicken fingers, and although they don't come sauced she was able to convince them, probably because it was a little slow at the time we were there.

Cocktails, we started with the blueberry sage Collins, a fresh and herby cocktails, followed by am espresso martini for me and the chocolate old fashioned for my friend.

Overall this was a good experience, I hope to see them grow and become popular. I can't wait to see the evolution post...

Absolutely delicious! We just celebrated our friends 40th and also our friends expecting their first baby any day now! Evan our server was amazing…. The food portions are very generous and super tasty. We literally tried everything they had available on tonight’s menu and we’re beyond satisfied. The cocktails were delicious- and they even surprised the mama to be with a mocktail which was so thoughtful.
