We initially had a wonderful server who gave us extra time to look over the menu. Another woman came up and asked us if we needed our order taken so we placed the order with her. Our original server never came back, so she just took her table.
We both wanted Lamb souvlaki. She asked us how we wanted our eggs after saying "chicken? ok, how would you like your eggs" we wanted to clarify that we wanted lamb as our option of meat not chicken before moving on, and we were given an attitude. She very curtly repeated " How do you want your eggs". When we answered, we reiterated that we wanted lamb and she then wrote down 8 lamb because both meals were meant to come with 4 pieces. When we finally did get our order we were given chicken with a side of lamb. After the first time we attempted to correct the issue we thought maybe it comes with chicken and lamb would be extra. When we got the bill it was clear that she just charged us for it that way. We looked at the menu again and saw that we were initially correct that Lamb on its own was an option and that she just did not want to listen. We ate our food and were willing to pay the price but when we tried to ask about the issue she bulldozed us again and continued to not listen. Honestly we just wanted a simple apology for the mistake, as it was an expensive one. Instead she just told us how we should have ordered it instead. We wish we had our original server and that our table wasn't taken over by someone who didn't...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I called Mythos on 3/2/18 at 9:25 PM to ask what time their kitchen closed (on their website it says that it closes at 11:00 PM but we didn't want to drive out there and find out that they closed). The female server, who was very rude, said, "10:30 (pause for silence) um no 10:00 PM." I replied with, "I thought the restaurant closed at 11:00 PM," rude server, in a very rude tone of voice said, "Yeah.... I mean, well you can just come here now then." Me and my boyfriend decided against it because she made it seem as if we were really inconveniencing her at that moment by wanting to try out Mythos restaurant. I understand if business is slow and you want to leave but you should not be planning when to leave when you have people calling wanting to come and basically telling them that they need to come soon, especially on a Friday night on Elmwood Avenue. I have worked in a few restaurants here in Buffalo and this was just not the way to handle the situation. If she had nicely said we have had a really slow night and planned on closing a little sooner, then out of courtesy we probably would not have eaten there. But she just had to be rude. I know they have good reviews so I was excited about trying it but she just turned me away from trying Mythos...

The breakfast menu and brunch menu are always a staple. I had the chicken souvlaki omelet, which was outstanding and not dry at all, which tends to be the case at many mom-and-pop all-day breakfast joints. It comes with a fresh toast of your liking; I opted for sourdough and home fries, which were beautiful and tasty. It's nice they were open early on a Friday during a holiday week because my friend and I needed a private place to discuss a public speaking event we were attending.
Thank you for accommodating my friend Jeff and me. I am sorry, I don't have any photos to...
